Has anyone heard of the various fables about the king. his daughter who was kidnapped by a dragon and the peasant who rescued her and was offered any reward the king could give him?
The King was very keen on chess and had a whole courtyard laid out as a giant chess board, so the peasant asked the king for his reward in grains of rice on the chess board. 1 grain on the first square, 2 on the second square, 4 on the third and so on. Basically just doubling up with each square for the full 64 squares. Now you could try it but you will need a very large chess board and a hell of a lot of rice.
