Hawkish on the macro front. inflation ok, higher interest rates than expected in the long term, risk on sight later this year and first mention of the needs FISCAL policies ...

Soft hawkish in general but very positive on the macro outlook on the initial reaction. Watchout for Euro 1.116x before taking the real decision ...

Cleared the gold hedge in nice profit just below the fib 50 at 1340 level. Nice shakeout in play . Lets see later if it was smart or not to take out the hedge.

Europe going home ...watch-out for the extended moves with Euro tripping 1.124x as there is lots of momentum below. Yen (UJ) already 100.7x for the play....

No surprises in the Euro so far a quick further update in the iteration 19 front. We have a second price short entry trigger in play (not valid for the iteration as only the 1st one count) and more importantly we have potential FIBs longs entry in play for the US closing session with a test 1.122x....

Pretty much all entries triggered bar the fib short entry ....GL all managing positions ....

We have the strongest economic outlook directly from Yellen in the last 2 years with inflation on check and even 'theoretical' (she didn't give any details and I can't really see the technicalities in practice at quick glance) guarantee further intervention / pseudo QE and related in case the global economy goes upside down....

Pretty much we are one NFP away from hikes Sept or if it flops the next one for Dec ...

I will say that what we have is a clear direction. Dollar bears was clearing out making the spike up in eurusd gbpusd and gold as I see it. And started loading up with $.

...and that was pretty much it for week. No surprises in the Euro with a simple flow. We failed to clear 1.116x by a handful of ticks leaving the leg wide open for next week.

On the iteration 19 front. Shorts taken first target from the price entry. First note:

--> This is how you pre position and take cheap tickets for a swing trade before a report without expectations !!!.

Price entry Sell
-> LMT SELL 1.130x [check]-> TP1 => 1.120x [check] ....... | STP => 1.138x

  1. Outlook neutral mid term ...what you do?...
  2. Outlook neutral short term ... what do you do?...you trade to the inside with cheap tickets at the extremes ....
  3. Price entries are cleaner, easier and efficient if you are right in direction. Why? minimum drawdown, almost flawless time to enter in the trade (avoid chopping around forever or jumping the gun)
  4. First target always provide a healthy margin that allow easy management of the actual swing before is confirmed ...

I hope this iteration is starting to show some light of where are we going with it ...
