Hi Alex

Sorry to post an answer to your query here but does not feel right to post my analysis on someone else’s journal without their express invitation to do so.

I use the higher frames to show me the lead, so by doing this I can play the pullback, pattern or whatever in the lower frames by scaling in/out of the legs/waves, actually fti has recently mentioned he used to ‘make’ the patterns so trading them once complete with a breakout could be trap, by using the higher frame as the lead I can trade the ‘forming’ pullback/pattern to grab a good number of pips even if there is no or a false breakout.

Nice explanation as always. something I notice isn't it going against daily trend. I see daily TF is up. sorry if I bother you.

many thanks my friend, did not want to just assume it was ok.

missed out on the E/U flag trade as it gapped in first session and was too tired to watch/babysit, the legs are gaining momentum so will look for another possible opportunity there. is all part of trading some you miss some time well, but still have to put the same amount of work into both/every possibility to produce a result in the end.

Thanks for chart will have a look. I go with h1/m15(ish) and m5 for entry - but I do want to be in m5 trend too so I like em all to match I guess- I prefer to be with D1 wave/trend too. I think a lot of patterns are traps - just my term for it - but they could work out or real. I do not let my attack men go into profit then reverse against me. I do not trade breakouts ie at the breakout. Of course RoK/news/timing comes into it all. I try not to lead ever - but sometimes I may be getting in too early - not sure about this yet - working on it. I have traded with caution near start of new trend if it was jumping up and down at me and saying hello but mostly not.

Will take time to look at charts. Thanks again.

Interested to see that you killed the scouts - in chess you have to sacrifice some men to win the war.

This may or may not be of interest to you - FTI advised me once as I was in this situation that if a PB >50% in a trend then trend is weak and may be in question - best to kill scouts (say 2 in so kill 2) and then get back in with 2 as your new basis (2 2 4) - starting from 2, 4 only if you get a very nicely formed and clear DT/DB or Head & Shoulders ie clear trend has resumed.

Thanks for reminding me of this my friend.

looking at the momentum in the legs/waves in H1 it suggested price would attempt another leg, so my trade idea was based on that, clearly the scouts and price told me this is not now an idea to continue with, I used the H1s last H/L as my I am wrong area, though that was my maximum area I would of let it go against me and not a defined fixed place to decide that, often I will decide and kill scouts way before that, with no news I suspected price may fall in my overnight and MMs were just squeezing the shorts so I decided to carry over the scouts to see, again I was wrong, so my idea and trade was bad (we must accept we are wrong sometimes), in this set of circumstances the best outcome for my account is to kill and move on, what I wanted to happen and think is clearly not playing out and I would be a fool to try to impose my desires on a market price I have no control over whatsoever, this price move is also harder to read now, so re-group and re-assess is really my only option, my trade was planned for both price doing what I wanted and also if it did not (the I am wrong on my chart), the scouts are the magic in this, listen to them and you will stay safe with very minimal damage to your account, trading against them will only often bring big problems as it will mean you have married your ideas and thoughts, they help to control that scorpion within us.

The thing I have found about the scout/skew sizing is the bigger the main attack skew relative to the scout can safely be for your account size and personal comfort tolerance the easier and less impact killing these expendables are when our trade ideas fail.

Got to go out for a while in about an hour.

hope you got some pips as well, i had to go out for a short while again this morning straight after that last post, i see it took out the bulls and has fallen nicely since continuing with the trend and structure, but i could not babysit so as it was the busier time of trading i decide to be safe and take the pips on that bull bar as it was forming instead of lowering the stops to just above the last (new lower) market price structure the trend was creating, i would of re-entered at the time the bull bar was taken out if i was here at that time, but something else demanded my attention so i will have to wait for another opportunity now, you can see how i use the higher frames for my main clues and concentrate mainly on entries/exits and scaling in the lowers i know you do something similar, what i can not show is how and what i see watching the kingdoms and crosses at the same time but i think you are understanding that part of it quite well.

i may not post anymore charts now a short while as i am going away for a couple of weeks on saturday, so have some loose ends i must deal with here and there, oh and i have jumped into the 21st century and got myself one of those small touch screen pad things on 4G that i will be taking with me, so i can be sitting round the pool/beach/restaurant being as un-sociable as everyone else watching you guys trading and posting, good luck to all but save some pips for me to hunt when i get back.

I had one scout long in - half asleep - but he did his job real quick so nothing lost. The trend got broken then they went back up to test extreme - V overshoot reversal type of play then short we went. RoK spoke volumes too. This is what I like m5 + h1 match.
