Xe is good for over the weekend live rates.

But I start from Forex Factory Calendar and go from there. They capture the heavy forecasted news. From there, I check back here to see market sentiment and then cross check what people are hoping/expecting here with what Forexlive.com posts.

The best strategy is to read everything you can within reason and make your decisions based on your research.

My experience on these forums is that most people don't respect the news as a market mover and tend to believe that news is for scalpers.

Great points, Mulegrinder, in terms of reading (lots!).

A lot of new traders fail because they start trading for the wrong reason. They here how much money you can make and don't actually have an interest in the foreign exchange markets... which means you need to have an interest in global economics. That's definitely not for everyone!

You have to really love this stuff and immerse yourself in it to be successful.

break 135.6 see me try long , otherwise too risky for me for the swing trade. Scalping , as long bounces of that daily low - a break will see a sing trade down
