Yep, looked like a good one in the end.. Still short on UCAD but was concerned we might get one of those dead Fridays.

Not too sure on the Indi. Will check the settings when I get back home but I think the weak ones are on.
Damn.. I knew moving stops up to trail was a bad idea....

i used to be terrified of 1 minute windows and only used 5min up till now.

but my broker has encouraged me to use it, and its real good when there lot of volatility. goes well with bollinger bands
I think it's safe to say this was a solid setup.

No bollinger bands required on this one.

Would the supdem have printed a supply zone at the top of the prior move, and the semafor print a level-3 high?

Been interesting to compare method

Yes I think it would on both counts.

There was a cheeky little move to clear out the stops on FOMC night. It looks like the solid H4 break below the up trendline was a first confirmation this was doing lower.

There have been a few decent H4 setups this week across most of the majors.

Kiwi was quite a good one since we had a fresh H4 demand to hide a stop behind and plenty of room up and we know those midzones on the left can create engulfing entries going up.

Not sure I can claim credit for method but I know what you mean about work.

I'm going for a more measured approach, less M5 and more H4/M30. I think this is more efficient in the long run and less hassle.

GU has been threatening to break for a few days.

True but now I've not got any choice.

I've been moved to sit next to the head of IT at work so can't remote back and trade the intraday M5 PA...
On the plus side, these kind of setups are great.

Slap M30 next to H4 and you can catch these kind of moves with less hassle.

A good one formed on UCAD also but that one arrived a bit too late for me to catch.

UCAD

You can basically watch H4 PA form (while watching M30 for entry).

Notice the M30 supply formed at the beginning and retested with engulf as H4 rollled over.. We then get another pullback to add more in direction of H4.

So rather than try and anticipate (guess) direction, just roll with the PA instead.

I have no idea in advance if UCAD is going up or down, but would have pulled pips out of this PA (if I was at the screen).
sold audnzd. Probably wont go that far down but if it reaches 2:1 i just put my stop to break even

Hey, this can work (it's solid valid supply zone) but you're going against the H4 direction(at this moment in time at least).

I'm not saying it wont work but I would have preferred the earlier buys (once H4 had confirmed the bull action).

I would then have used this zone to lighten up on longs rather than reversal.

Now H4 bear PA can develop here to confirm the move but I'd like to see what that structure would look like if it forms.

im expecting a retrace after the heavy up move. If you look at weekly and daily we are in daily and weekly engulf bases. We could get a reaction here although my tp is very generous i will probably lessen it.
