What I am thinking is to use velocity only if there is a spike in the opposite direction of the zone. I have seen several Dashtrend trades that just trade back to the zone and stall then turn back around for a loss and would have been in profit if the trade would have stayed in the original direction of the pivot. I will try to provide some screenshots. I may be completely wrong it is just a thought. You know more than I do.
This is for a ranging market not breakouts.

Sincerely I learn more with traders comments and ideas like you. Almost all stuff I made its not well tested because when I finish something I start with next thing. For that all ideas ( even if you think are wrong) can help me to understand better how works the tools. About your bad trades are the typical problem with range moments. I think to use velocity in that moments can help. But put MA settings first on chart for you can see how filter and how delays entries. You can try short settings with velocity (3/0.5) or similar

I remembered something now. If you enable push notifications and you set bands you will receive notifications when a trade is with profit and touch that band. It's like TP. It's manual because I'm testing how will work bands but can help you when profits trades are crossing MA constantly. You can try with 40/50 pips

I don't recommend use velocity mode in DashTrend until I adapt code to neutral areas. Is not working well

I'm going like this for now but is not cut in stone ideea.many settings can be done on basket depends everyone plan for the day or for the week.i just try to get a part of the slope move profits (as Brain said to me time ago) and with basket lock to protect that profit.loses will be closed by the dashtrend slope change so no worry about that.

DashTrend Micro ( v0.20 ) - Release version

+ added events code ( PARAMETERS/TIMEFRAME )
+ added analyzer totals refresh ( select/deselect pairs update totals )

PS: You don't need restart EA every time you change settings or select/deselect pairs

This week was flat. It's summer and I don't think this change before September. Maybe a way to reduce range market is use low TF and MAs more responsives...

Husky a couple of questions. What TF do you usually use and what sessions are you trading? I have been using Asian crosses for Tokyo and Euro crosses for London on both 15M and 60M TF along with a conservative basket trading and I still get more losses than winners.

h1 and 24/5 full time trading.as we test this stuff maybe later we might make a schedule but for now i want to see full time how results are.
If you ask me on asia we have most of the time range zone and loss can occur ,from MA set inside we can choose to skip somehow with lil profit or with very little loss this range areas.,this dashtrend have so many options and settings to choose.

You are speaking about profits or win ratio? Because with basket you always have profits if you close one

Profits. Most of the crosses Husky uses are the same ones I use but not 24/5. Next week I will try to duplicate Husky's setup and see what happens. I have an Oanda US demo account and their auto spread can be treacherous. If you could add a spread filter maybe that might help?

This week is very bad for MAs. But its a suprise M15 dont improve the situation with low volatility. Did you had much losses? And you are using all pairs or only analyzer profitables?

spread filter i dont mind because on volatile pairs can delay entry and lose an important amount of profit in pips.

These are the pairs that I have been trading. I have only had two days that made profit. I start the dash when Tokyo opens and change to Euro settings 2 hours before London opens. Any trades that are open in profit I let run usually unless I think they have made enough profit. I have avoided a couple of GBP crosses because of really high spreads and volatility.

Interesting split pairs per session. About your week balance those 2 profitables days compensated week days with losses? This is important for know if is same behavior than husky tests

PS: About your 2 sessions maybe if you remove the losers improve your balance even you don't have balanced your group pairs

So that I am not just trading the Cable I will test on the following pairs-15M TF,McNicols EMA 27,trend- no velocity until you say otherwise, trading 24/5 with conservative basket TP set to $50 ,at $30 lock in $20 ,$40 lock in $30,$45 lock in $40. I will post weekly results. These pairs I think should provide a good mix.

Ok. Husky finished small test using 13 pairs and he finished with smaller but good profit. He lose 6$ at Asian session but finished with 26$ profit. That means playing with basket you can manage flat days with moderate successful

PS: User manuals are useful for know how works the tools. It have section with tips too. At first post you have link to blog for get rest of manuals. Manuals are not finished yet but you can have an idea seeing Trend ( Single ) and SnR ( Server ) manuals. In a future they will be deep content gudes for have the best information of them.
