I cant really see this happening.

Its a possibility but would just be a rally created to sell.

Iron ore controlled the PA.

Past few sessions or so iron ore falls 10% or so, AU drops 100 pips.

I'm expecting a move down to 0.74 and possibly 0.73 before we see a good bounce. Specs flipped net long two weeks ago and added 12k last week so I think this pair could be heading higher soon.

I closed previous shorts before latest news from RBA policy meetings. Made good profit, missed the drop after the news, but I'm avoiding holding positions during major news announcements. I expect further drops. Was going to wait for higher levels, but just took first reentry at 75.07.

On the news front, the major banks are offering reduced interest rates on fixed loans...an indication that they expect rate drop.

I like the doji on the weekly chart. We had one about 6 weeks ago also, but it was not followed by bear candle, and the AU went up. IF we get bear candle this week, we have evening star. But as I and others have mentioned, we have trend breaks on Daily and 4 HR charts, so I'm risking one re entry at this low level (but there's pretty good resistance at 75 anyhow.) Price is also now below 100 MA and EMA on 4 HR

What is every bodies 6 months predictions and why? looking at trying to set up a general view for the last half of the year , ill be back with my own prediction when ive got enough data.

Do you really believe those specs? They were long Japanese yen for a few months, but the yen was falling lower and lower and only last week it jumped. The specks are not better then anyone else, just the same.

They also turn long -150 pips ago so that suggests to me they have already been stopped out or holding in the red.

Timing is everything. We'd all be rich if our longs or shorts had been placed at the right time. This one was (so far so good) about the best timing I've ever had. Lucky this time.

I am currently short this pair. And while I don't base trades and opinions solely off of COT data, I do keep it in mind when considering profit targets and possible reversals. I believe that anything is possible and that traders have be prepared to change directions quickly. Confirmation bias can be costly.
