this gbpjpy is frustrating the hxll out of me. i was up 115% on my principle and now only up 37%! you can say i didn't take profit etc and i'm still up etc...but losing that almost 70% of my profits since brexit is painful. I had a bad time with BOE and now it's whipping around so much and i keep getting stopped out.

PA is pretty frustrating right now for sure. There's no clear direction and no solid levels to lean against. I'm trying to feel it out for the next leg with small orders, but getting beat up a bit. Probably best to stay out until things become more clear.

Look at the daily PA,, price broke above the 139 swing level and is holding. Still HHs/HLs on H4. No volatility today, but no evidence that direction changed to down yet.

did a quick short at 140.24 given it's top of today's range

HI geppy.
I realize that you have a lot on lately with young family, puppy hood, and other distractions. It is bank hols in Japan today, could this be the reason for the low volatility seen today. Keep up te good work.

Absolutely, but Japan session has been over for awhile now. We're in NY now.

Thanks for the reply. I know we are in the NY now but just wondered with Japan being closed whether traders across the globe take the day off to. I live in GB and have noticed low volatility when we have our bank hols.

tx, well i'm getting killed by this dragon. all my profits since brexit are eroded in 3 days. Whippy moves are not for me, i need trends. Hindsight trading but wish I had taken my profits and stayed out..... i got too addicted to gambling

It's moving by the hopes of JPY stimulation...so staying on either sides is very risky unless you have the right SL is in place.

Trend up now for mid term. But won't be a smooth highway journey. Buffer yourself with 300-400 pips up and down should be ok.

tx goldgirl, but it's been a tough 3 days for me. from +115% to 15%. Getting to the point where i'm thinking i should give up. sorry for the negativity

if i could clear my head, I think JPY will continue to weaken into BOJ then depends if Abe delivers or disappoint. GBPUSD at 1.35, GBPJPY at 144, USDJPY at 108 would be key sells to me, hopefully i can catch those waves.

Agreed. Level 98-105 might need to stay for some while before another major move. Probably triggered by strengthening of USD and not weakening of JPY.
