​Actually I cannot login to Oanda's Fx Desktop Plattform. Anyway -I wonder what this Desktop platform should be good for.
The chart is breaking down like he does with the web Version, if there is a short Internet break down - and Relogin often does not work.

OK this is probably a dumb question but is OANDA MT4 offline because of volatility? Neither demo nor live opens. Same for FXCM. Is this typical for US-based brokers at times like this (post-Brexit)? Any US-based brokers that didn't go down?

I tried to use FXtrader once but had some problems with registration and I threw this idea away. If someone says me why should I try again and use it, I'll think about it. What are the disatvantages of this platform?

Java problems every time, use 50% more memory than MT4.

Stay away from this broker.

Use the TradingView charts that they now have available. Best charting software for free by far.

The best option in this case - sort it out on your end. If your computer is overloaded with all possible crap and won't run java properly - use ProtraderMC software.
Otherwise - stop watching porn on your trading machine

There is nothing funny about it. US customers have very limited choice when it comes to retail borkers, so they survive for sure.
And as a market maker they quite good. If not hte best.

Almost as funny as traders that open accounts with offshore bucketshops with $500, thinking that it is an ECN broker because they have it splashed all over their website.

wow... you are a serious trader... I also think it's not the problem of computer, because I know some traders with similar problems, so you can watch what you want

Does the FF trade explorer work with v20 trading accounts ?

as it appears i cant open a new trade explorer with the new V20 trading system from oanda ..

Is there any way to get trading profits out of OANDA without a fee?

While debit card withdrawals seem to have no fees the OANDA TOS says withdrawals to debit can't be more than the deposit from same.

For over a week now, very difficult to logon the oanda live platform, I trade witho anda since 10 years, desktop and laptop, never been so bad...java up to date, no popp up blocker, everything running well, in my fast internet PCs, no luck, impossible to get a chat with onada...they are useless...
Loosing my patience...somettimes it takes an hour to open my account....

I trade with OANDA fxTrade platform from 2008 and can say that till this time its work ideal! I like it, because I can use it from any PC where is Java.

Yes, OANDA spreads changing from 0.8 to 5 or higher at Tokyo or Sydney marker hours, but they gives best spread what they can give. Real price difference can see here: http://forex.tradingcharts.com/chart/

I know this broker rules and I like it, because platform works ideal in while is comming news. I only had problems with Windows10 (not only with plaform, also other programms), for that reason using Win7.

At first try to trade OANDA with Practice account and then choose what to do. Have a good trades!

When I upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10, started problems with platform. I turned off most of Windows 10 backgraund app and other settings. Made maintance (control panel - security and maintenance - troubleshooting - system and security - (run both = 'fix problems with updates' and 'run maintenance tasks', always choose 'run as administrator' in advanced settings) and now all is working very well. It helps for all PC, not only fxTrade.

For USA traders, With all the negative press fxcm is getting, anybody thinking of switching to oanda? how fast can you guys put in and withdraw funds?

It will be great if we can trade smaller units (less than 1 contract) for indexes onFXtrade platform.
It's avaible to trade 0.01 on mt4 but not on FX trade...why so?

Im profitable after 15 years of fight and hard study..scalping 5 minutes..on my way to tripling my account in 6 to 8 months...
I stay away from news...trade in between, so no chance they can spike me out on spreads..
I trade only the smallest spread, uncorrelated pairs. Mostly only 3..
Don´t leverage massively either...every aspect "under control"..

Wonder if Oanda will really let me take money from their pockets...Im watching with wide eyes open...
I work my charts from a forexpro Mt4 demo...and trade through Desktop Oanda real...3 monitors, so I can spot any difference in the candles...so far...no majour differences ...I have a hard stop on every trade and follow live...close manually or by take profit..my edge is tiny but consistent..don´t think you can milk the market any better...precise money mgmt.

I already have a second broker option to change, if necesary...
I had so far, only one ugly issue a year ago with Oanda: a postion simply disappeared from my screen...like I never took it...the Oanda chat representative confirmed he could "see" it but was "hidden" in my plattform !!!!!!!!!!!!
Prompted me to email Oanda and I did, they returned my stopped out position after a week, and apologized... (they never returned my money)
Of course, trading manually, I would have closed a week before with a small profit....Luckily it was a very small amount...
Hard to believe but true...like you go to the casino....your ticket wins, but they shake the table and your chips dissapear...

Anyway, I will report here any further issues...with detailed information on any,obvious wrongdoing...I already read some very bad cases from other Oanda clients, I really hope they are not true...its already too hard to make money in forex, to on top have to put up with broker cheating...

Hope also everybody reports any issues, someone needs to prevent manipulative wrongdoing...from any broker...
