Had fun last evening and this morning. Set the chart to one minute TF and changed settings to SL=50 TP=5changed that to 20. EA was very busy but only with buy trades. don't know why. The TP and SL settings have a decimal but it does not work. I have to put in single digit and not the full setting. for instance the TP setting shows 0,0 so the entry for 10 pips is 1 because when it is entered the ea treats the 1.0 as 10. If you put in 10 then it shows as 10.0 and the ea treats it as 100.

Wild morning. Probably a good time not to trade. But the ea made good choices. Only thing is that On that long ride down there should have been a long run of stacks but the ea only did one. It got stopped out with a TP on the first stack.

another long run and trades taken against the trend. Sowely cleaning me out. There should be something that can be done to reverse this.

According to what I see on your chart all the buy trades looked to seem valid. In some cases you can see that the conditions were probably met at that moment.

As for the TP and SL not working with decimals, that is strange. Just looked at the code and it should of worked fine. There is not change to the TYPE of number that StopLoss and TakeProfit are. I set them as double which means that you can use a decimal. Otherwise if I had set them as integer then only whole numbers are recognized.

Strange. I'll have to try the 5min TF and also see why the stacks are not happening...

I don't see this as a problem since I understand what is happening.

Going to continue next week with the 1M TF. I like what I see with the exception of the sudden runs. Yes, the entries look just fine. This is with MidlevelPivots=no, 3sema and no candle.

Since you are having some fun try this Update.

I added an input that will allow u to FLIP the trade, the EA will take the reverse trade when all conditions are met.
Just set FlipTrade=Yes.

I have had someone testing this on lower TFs and she has reported good pips.
Of course alot of monitoring is required. I tried it with set TP (3 pips) and SL (50 pips) and didn't fair well.
But if u are right there you can determine when to get out or stay in and get some descent pips.

2nd Update to 3C

OK lets make this REAL interesting. (Yes I have had someone testing this)

Now you can also select if u want the EA to look for any of the semafor dots (#1,#2,#3) or just the #3 semafor dots

Just set the input SemaDots accordingly...

So far I have heard the 3C on 1min with EA looking for just #3 semafor dots produces good results too,...

John, Reamasesa I wlll be looking into the stacking thing this weekend. Ram send me some logs . Just remember to set ShowDebugInfo=Yes.

Update to 3C:

OK finished complete update
EA will not allow u to use PIvots or no Pivots
and all dots or just #3 dots.

Oh and stacking was working... for those of u that have ShowDebug=Yes You will see this in the Experts log window:

This means that the stacking function is working. If you do not see these lines in the Expert Log then there is a problem.

I am currently testing this setup
GBPUSD, M15
NoPivots
#3 dots only
IgnoreStochs
NoCandles
StackStep=5
SetBE=Pips
BE_Pips=5
StopLoss=50
TakeProfit=50
CheckBarsBack=30

Very interesting results on GBPUSD. The Ea tents to keep the balance at BE (somewhat) but there are moments where the Equity curve is in good profit, this would be where you would intervene and get that profit, but as the EA continues eventually the equity curve falls back down to where the account balance is, which is either BE or below BE.
I am thinking of adding some logic by where the EA would take that profit... just as if u had intervened. I will keep you posted.

Look at the equity curve GBPUSD Apr 1-June 30. Look at the green curves (equity), that is where we take the profit and then just let the EA continue.

Messing around with the 3C update:

Folks I am seeing results that we can take advantage of with this updated 3C EA.

In the first graph I setup everything just like the previous post but for the test on chart 1 I allowed the TP to stay after the BE was set.
I also changed the BE_Pips to 7 (was 5). Stoploss is still 50 but TakeProfit=100 now. RiskPercent=3 (was 1)

So with those settings I got the result u see on the 1st chart. EURUSD 1March - 30 June.
Even with the huge drawing the EA still managed to end with profit. But more importantly if you had intervened your equity chart would more than likely be better that we you see.

So on the next chart I started testing the EA from the point where the first chart started the draw down which was March 12. This time I set TP to be removed when the BE was set. I know the chart looks like a loser but look at the green equity curves. That is where you can take profit if you intervene manually.

The last chart is the whole period March 1 - June 30 with No Take profit. Looks like we can take advantage of those green equity curves. I am going to test this idea starting next week. Lets see what it produces....

Thanks for the updates, I'll try to load my charts with the new version tonight, if not, I'll do it some time this week.


I'm not sure I;m all too fond about those peaks, if to be honest. Even if I had intervened and took profit, I feel that it would have been lost.
I don't mind loosing, but I do believe in consistency and I think that peaks are not what we should aim at.

I am just proposing ideas to get consistent profit. I know for a fact that when you have something like this and YOU take the profit, the equity curve becomes fantastic. I know cause I had a streak back in 2012 where each week I would close out for 10-13% for 12 straight weeks. I approach was all manual on the H4 and if I had programmed and plotted it back then we would of seen the results I showed. So when I saw them I recognized it and proposed that intervention was the key. Intervention in the sense of taking profit since the EA already supplies the stoploss.

But we need to get you going with the stacks and trailing stops I want to see what you do with those tools. I think you were on to something, but now we need to get you the tools. So remember to set showDebugInfo=yes and if u don't see stacks then pinpoint where u thing they should of started (get the DateTime and currency) and then send me the log so I can see exactly what did or did not happen.

Didn't mean to offend or anything, for me, if you get those peeks and then a sharp slop down, then it means something might be wrong with the settings or the logic.
That's just how I see it. That's why I use JTS and such to, at least, save some profit since I don't have the time to check on my charts.
If we're already discussing it, do you think following the news calendar might be helpful here? I'm aiming for as automated as possible system that suits my schedule, so far I haven't paid attention to any news while testing 3C and Boloso.

I'll think about manual intervention once the JTS and stacking work. Maybe you can provide a "close all" button instead of me having to hunt down those trades within MT4? Is that possible? Nothing fancy, just a nuke button for all the trades for the EA (magic number, I suppose) on that chart.

There is nothing wrong with those sharp slopes. IT is an affect based on this simple setting, break even with no Take Profit. IT is obvious that you will have sharp slopes when you have NO TakeProfit. Cause when the trades go into profit and they are left alone, eventually they will fall and since Break even is already set... they simple fall and hit BE. What I am observing is that this pattern happens a descent amount of times. To me that is opportunity. If I am around when those peaks appear I WILL close the group for profit. Then I have the choice to allow the EA to continue or to just close it and wait for another period to open it again. The control of the EA being on and off would also have to be determined... like when is the best time for it to be on so that it will produce those Peaks... that would be a question that you can only answer with time. In my view I think the EA would work during the non volitatly times... like right after the NY frenzy when they go to lunch lol and possible all the way thru the assian market up to the LO. I am going to test it like so and see if I can capture some of those peaks.

Yep, I have a script for closs all trades. I'll just add a magicnumber thingy and it will be ready. I am going to post updates I will include that script with the updates. Maybe I'll put a button on the chart... but then again that means you guys will need more files.... I'll think about it.

Very Minor updates to EAs and the Close all Script

Made a minor updated to EAs. Nothing was changed, just added a message for when you are using it in the strategy tester.
The problem was that in the strategy tester an alert or message window would not show up. So like in 3C The EA when in the strategy tester, would not show the alert that the StopLoss is needed. The strategy tester would continue running the EA and there I was banging my HEAD on why something was not working. This was especially frustrating when everything was RIGHT!! LOL.

The script has the same function that the EAs use to Close all trades. Place it in the scripts/ folder and when u need it drag it on to any chart, enter the correct magic number (0= to ALL and ANY) and with that the trades will close (fifo compliant too).

How does the script work? Simply load it on a chart and it will delete all the MagicNumber on that chart? I wouldn't want it to kill other trades, as well.


Also disabled my management EA, let's see how the BE and such work now

Just drag the script on to any chart. You will see the input window, if you leave the MagicNumber=0 then it will close all trades (including deleting any pending order). If you set MagicNumber=XXX it will only close all trade for trades (and pendings) with that MagicNumber.

Good luck on the BE and stacking etc..

Almighty: The week has started and I have placed 3C v27 with the attached settings. I will try to see if I can intervene and generate steady profit. I will be stopping/starting the EA as I see fit.

More Updates...

Folks:
These updates include a fix to the percent calculations. The EA should now read and calculate the correct percent profit from the start of the week. You can also use the Weekly Profit Percent to tell the EA when to stop trading(after target profit has been reached). Don't use the Profit BE lock yet and this only works for trades that were opened and closed during the week. If you leave any trades open during the weekend the EA will calculate the percentages but the numbers will not reflect correct percentage for the week, I am still working on that part.
