Likely to go higher with RBA meeting but election results will also impact and it's harder to predict direction from that.

I don't think the RBA will make much of announcement/Impression whilst Australia is in caretaker govt mode.

They will be vague and allow a new govt to form before direction.

Question does remain however if Australia's credit rating gets downgraded does that mean interest rates are to remain on hold to attract more foreign investment ?

In the overall scheme of things and I have been saying this for quite sometime, Australia is in an utter mess. It needs strong leadership,direction and to stop pampering to the minorities. The current set of politicians don't offer that.

All that and it looks to be in the middle, of the middle, monthly range. I looked at the wkly charts, and, on balance, the 1-2 wks at the beginning of July seem to be little mvmt. or down. very rare up. Unlikely this wk since the last several were up from open (incldg. Brexit wk.)

The bigger picture from my understanding is, since brexit, investors have been fleeing to safety pushing low yields even lower and are now searching for yield, I wouldn't think the rating agencies have much control over this especially if risk comes back on the table.

Glenn will harp his usual tune - On hold. No rash decision until Brexit/Election results sorts itself out, also need CPI figures. High Aussie dollar is worrying, might have to do something. Increase in commodities is supporting the economy, might be sustained. Keep an eye on China. Key stats are on track for improving outlook. gg.

I was thinking sell .75348 first profit .75102. Then the .748x for scnd. profit. followed by evaluate. (excluding extreme Δ) . In general I like the short buy and sell pts. you choose. How did you arrive at those points?

AUD is heavily overpriced and has a very dark future. Sell every rally. The target is 0,625 and probably lower, but that's another future story.

Mate Australia hasnt even got a prime minister... the future is far from bright and the economy is falling to pieces.

JPY is heading towards .95. If JPY cannot go above 110.

I closed my short at .7476 which I opened way to early so did not get many pips but I do see that by looking at the monthly chart, AU seems to be caught in quite a trap between strong support and strong resistance as shown by the royal blue rectangle on my chart. It will make for some interesting trading for sure.
