Direction not reversed and no error showing in Journal or Expert tab

136 error in this occasion is because the market is fast

for the sell's should i use bid < previous low - 2 pips?

I see , maybe a good idea.Lets see what Strada thinks as well as he has a lot more experience with this system.

I'm sure you are aware of this but just thought I might ask your opinion regarding the spread

Below , maroon bars are the highest spread of the bar and the green line is the average spread of the bar

IC Markets offer 1 pip fixed after LO and 2 pips before LO.

I know you use many different brokers but just wanted to ask your opinion about it

Bit of manual trading using the following to help speed up the change of direction: In stead of closing and reversing I just traded like as follows

Sell 2 lots then when the reversal came I left the Sell 2 lots open and Bought 4 lots and so on giving me the following

Sell 2 ( net short 2 )
Buy 4 ( net long 2 )
Sell 4 ( net short 2 )
Buy 4 ( net long 2 )
etc

Then use the "Multiple Close By" function and close the remaining 2 after that

Below gives me Break Even even with a mistake at white cross and late entries on some and we seem to now be out of the ranging period but I have to run so the run below should have been positive and now making more

Hi VHK, I suspected the errors may have been due to the speed of price change in DAX/GER30 and I don't expect much can be done about that.

Regarding the sells: first let me clarify the entry rule - if a red (down) bar crosses the MA and closes below the MA then price falls a further 2 pips (minimum) then trade entry is effected. In reality the chances of opening any trade at exactly the triggered price is very unlikely.

The question about whether to use bid? For the purpose of the EA let's work with a chart based on the bid price. If an entry is triggered as above then the ideal entry price would be the low of the red bar that just crossed the MA minus 2.1pips. As the chart is on bid price this would be the trade entry price.

Conversely if a green up bar crosses the MA and closes above the MA then price continues upwards by 2 pips minimum then long trade entry is effected. As chart is on BID then spread would be added to give the actual trade entry price. (High of bar closed over MA +2.1pips + spread = ASK price).
I'm not trying to teach how to suck eggs here, but I'm not sure how this should be presented in EA terms (a subject of which I know zilch) but I hope this clarifies the situation on pricing in terms of the trigger for a trade and the entry price etc.
One point worth mentioning is that we know in advance what the entry price will be before a bar actually closes across the MA. If it looks likely there is a crossover attempt for say a short trade we know the high of this bar so we know that this high minus 6.1 would be an entry. (based on a range bar of 4 pips + the buffer).
I have attached a basic chart showing examples.
Obviously anything else you may need, please don't hesitate.
