By the way for those that don't know Great Britain is called 'Great' not because it's actually great but because of how we name things in that the smaller version of something like a village is often called 'little' and it's bigger brother is called 'great' so you might have 2 villages next to each other that are called 'Great Chesterford' and 'Little Chesterford'.

So the island of Ireland was the small version hence 'Little Britain' and the bigger island was 'Great Britain'.

History lesson over.

Yes, but to milk them you've first got to have the ambition and then go out and conquer. That's exactly what we did. So why not bring out that ambitiousness again, go out and conquer again (not countries). The UK has a lot to offer the world and the world has a lot to offer the UK.

The success/failure of a country depends not on what is has or hasn't but rather the sum of its human capital. That's why so many Asian countries are very successful without having even half a barrel of oil or 2lbs of copper (Japan, Korea, Sing etc).

Good point calculus but let's not forget in Asia almost every person trades from an early age it's one of their fravorite pastimes, also they don't get shafted by their brokers like we do in the UK.
The Gold bandwagon is being reeled out by brokers don't fall for it or you will get shafted. Ah but to er is to be a robot. Lol. Much LOVE
