yes its a comic show,i think boris has stuck his head on his arse,although it would not make much difference .

how to fuck up a strong growing economy ,and for what purpose ,reminds me of a man who wanted to be king ,

Unfortunately we have, in the UK, a tendency to vote against things - immigration, bureaucracy, elites, blah, blah, blah - rather than for things. So while the Remain side was accused of operating project fear the Leave side never articulated exactly what those voting leave were voting for. The slogan 'Take Back Control' is open to a wide range of interpretations - a steel worker facing the loss of his job might think it means something very different to a small business owner and it might mean something very different again to a parent worried about the number of languages spoken in the local school.

It seems to me that the leave campaign had no plan for what happened if they won - that seems criminally negligent. Boris has come out and said he doesn't think that immigration was that important in people's decision to vote leave - really Boris? That's not what many people I know who voted to leave seem to think. Boris has said that we'll be able to control immigration and have access to the single market - really Boris? European leaders have consistently said something very different.

I always thought the calling of this referendum had more to do with conservative party politics than the real interests of the UK. Our relationship to Europe and its consequences were an incredibly complex question covering a huge range of issues and deserved a far more serious and studied debate than that which we got. Personally I did vote but I resented being put in a position of having to answer this question with such a paucity of decent information and no real exploration of the risks inherent in either staying or leaving. Why didn't the remain side set out the benefits we accrue from Europe and why didn't the leave side explain the risks of leaving. Surely that would be the bare minimum required to provide an informed electorate.

Have been filling my boots like every committed trader should be. 2 from 2 shorting the GBP this morning. (Ha my partner says I cannot multi-task but I beg to differ)

yes indeed ,but the depth of our wound was not as deep as others,the wound was healing slowly but was not septic until boris and the other idiot fararge or what ever the dicks name is came along .

so soros shafted us dropping a bomb on the pound before the vote count started, it seems to me he dropped a bomb on the whole of Europe as they all fell too. Look who profited though that makes the most interesting analasys. Look to where the money goes and you can clearly see where soros has his fingers in the pies lol. We are GREAT BRITAIN, the U.K., but it was an astounding victory for ENGLAND, one of those great times I can truly be proud to be ENGLISH, against Scotland, Ireland and Gibraltar, we ENGLISH took down the establishments power. We Will be ENGLAND again and We will be GREAT AGAiN. Power is with the people not the few. Lol.

you make some sensible points but imo...

It was never the leave campaigns job to have a brexit plan, that is the job of the government.
The government took a biased position to stop civil servants from supplying the leave side with information, this decision clearly taken so that the remain side could quote whatever fear numbers they choose and the leave side would be hard to quantify them or an alternative number.
the EU leaders have of course said that we won't have access to market, we won't this etc. but that was from a view point of they wanted to be part of project fear to stop us voting to leave. They are already softening the rhetoric in Germany and that will flow through.

For sure we will be free of the EU government and the invasive legislation. We should also achieve full market access - this should be a win/win as we are a big customer of the net contributors and capped migration - the UK cannot sustain the immigration that is occurring this is the time to adjust.

If people really want to understand who to blame it lies with the previous labour governments that signed us deeper and deeper into the EU without acknowledging any of the calls for a referendum on it... it is the labour government that made the UK population feel cheated and the EUs lack of democracy that has left us in a relationship that is abusive and uncontrollable.

The media is currently mobilising to get the young to outcry it is not fair, reality check get off your arse and vote if you want to participate.

We all know the saying in poker - you play the hand you've been dealt.

That hand can be good, indifferent or bad but you have to play it the best you can in order to win.

People in the UK should stop whining, Exit is the hand that was dealt so get the best people on the job to play it. Britain has a glorious history of achievement, we literally invented half the things invented, owned half the world and were the most powerful nation on earth for a few hundred years. That means we've got something in our blood, so again, put the best people on the job and get playing.

The politicians always want more, more power, more rules, more committees, more jobs (for their class), more taxes (if only the rich paid more we'd be alright etc) and so on.

They only have themselves to blame.

The fact that the GBP dropped 20% has actually come out to our advantage as it will mean we can trade cheaper. It does not matter weather or not we had an exit plan, the main point is to let the EU party mongers who have been fleecing us to provide for their champagne lifestyles free of charge whilst instilling no love but ramming down our throats constant fear know their time is coming to an end. Soon the guillotines will be bought out again and off with the heads of the elite bastards of Europe lol. Viva le-revelation. Smack a puppy too much and you get an obiedient but sick puppy. At a more serious level Brexit has highlighted a fundamental constitutional problem created with the establishment of the Scottish and Welsh Parliaments.
The failure to also give England and even London separate Parliaments, and adopt a proper federal structure. In many way I see the composition of the Brexit vote as a result of that failure. A protest in a way that while Scotland Wales & NI have devolved levels of self government, England goes not. ?
