Hello Everyone,




I am new to this thread and fairly new to FX trading. I did some demo trading last year (mainly fades around the 00 levels). This spring I made a firm commitment to learn a better system which lead me to FF. For the past 4 months I have looked at many systems. I have had good success with one system, however I would really like to learn PA with SR on a Daily TF. The Daily suits my lifestyle as I really only want to look at my charts two or maybe three times a day.

I reviewed Post 1 with all suggested links and Post 23249 with all suggested links. I also reviewed the following PDFs: Summary of James16 Part One, James16 Part 2, James16 Price Action Bars, Price Action Setup.

Is there a beginner / newbie guide or any other reading you would suggest?

Where would be a good place to start reading the thread as it's over 10 years old now (I was thinking Jan 1 2015??)

4ernobyl i'm not Mike or GB and still reading and learning, but i wouldn't trade that pinbar because:
1. the low of the pinbar was never broke
2. i will look for price action at 0986 area
3. sorry for my english

Hey Tampa

Welcome to the thread, Flor gave some great advice. There are a lot of links on the first post and videos on the youtube page. I would try to read the first few hundred pages or so and with the other material you can get caught up pretty quick over a few months time. Be sure to ask questions if needed

Hey 4

I like how you tried to enter on the retrace of the pinbar. The problem I have is the Pinbar is sitting right on the FTA(marked on my chart). So the low of the pinbar is right on a PPZ. You are better off waiting for when price can CLOSE under that PPZ. Then it has a better chance to hold as resistance.

Today has been less active as expected (USA July 4th ?) and I have used the opportunity go over stuffs here once again. However on going through charts spoted this UCHF Wkly TF pinbar and imagined how I would have attempted to play on a normal day - First,do I consider the pinbar ok? Yes. Now assuming that I have missed the opportunity to take the trade at the 5M Tf as show the chart here, would it be advisable to take it if the current 4H candle turns to be a BEOB or not given the presence of the 0.97000 BN or or better to enter below that BN? Or am I over analysing? I am not sure of the better choice.

Mike (and anyone who can) please I really need your inputs. What would be the better choice? Am over analysing?

looking at the weekly chart seems the market has been doing nice low and lower lows this would mean that its moving in a down trend but i can see a divergence forming which indicates the end of the down trend, looking at the 4h and the 5min such a nice pattern that has formed i see a head and shoulder pattern there my advice would be to wait for the hook and the sell in this case try using fibs to see the reversal points

Hiya Jeff. Price is in the middle of the chart at the moment, and whilst there is still money to be made, might be best to wait for price to pull back up to maybe around 0.98000 or 0.9750 area's to look for short trades. PPZ right below you at 0.97000 and below. I have attached a chart where i would've entered on a BEOVB on H4. It's up to you, but i would exercise caution entering right now. Nothing wrong with waiting for a better location and set up. Of course, it may rocket down from here too. Who knows? Waiting for PA to bounce from top or bottom of your W1 TL is another possibility. GB.
