sometimes, it takes a few weeks or longer (sometimes a year or more) for the gap to close. SO BE VERY PATIENT and HAVE A LOT OF EQUITY if you want to trade the GAPs!! I have cut many loss, burnt many accounts and lost a lot of money betting on weekend gap closures. VERY SAD,, I know..

I guess you are sarcastic anyway, but a gap is not closed because of the gap if that happens weeks later LOL. Surely any gap can be called closed if price moves there a year later because of other reasons, haha. Surely would not be a good strategy to trade like that though

Ooopss!! I was wrong all this time? There is a "statue of limitation" for gaps to be closed. Darn it. No wonder It seems like I never have enough equity to ride out the volatility waiting weeks after weeks for gaps to close. Thanks for pointing it out. It gives clues to why I have blown so many accounts in the past.
Sadly people will go to an extreme extent in order to "prove" you wrong, but the reality is most gaps do fill and I would love to see some actual data and not just made up stats byt geektrader which reveals that their have been gaps which took 10 years to fill.

Cable is also at a critical point here, yesterday ended in a doji. The 4hr macd looks set to cross down. 1.4660 is the weekly pivot of the first week of this year, it has basically been the cap of the highs in a way this whole year. 1.4631 is100 marks up from weekly pivot {image}
So I am short right now on GJ, with the tp being 153.238 and sl being a close at or above 153.562 on 1m.
