Price action since 10am has been a pain in the ass.

Change of order flow on YM however no change of order flow on ES so makes things a little more difficult.

I had no time to trade. The price action in the evening did not suit me.
Congrats for your trades (ujku: hope for you that it works out).

I do not know if you are concerned, especially with futures, my CFD brooker informed me that on Thursday (due to Brexit referendum) the margin requirements will be much higher (e.g. Dow: 3 times higher; UK100: 10 times higher).

Wow! great discipline. You waited like a good snipper for the perfect moment to hit your target for the entry. Really nice trading today even though the day did not want to reveal its cards easily at the start.

How'd you do on this? If you kept the same initial stop throughout the whole move then looks like you would come away with some solid profit. If you moved to b/e as it approached the structure then appears you still would get away with a b/e or small gain to chip away at your earlier loss

Yeah I got that email earlier from Ninja saying that they're bumping intraday margins to 3x what they are currently. I've never heard of a broker doing that, is that a common practice? I traded options before my current stint with futures here and I had a cash account so anything having to do with margins and news volatility never affected me like this.

First entry in ES was pretty bad in terms of getting as close to swing high as possible but I am trying to incorporate trendline breaks into my entry process to see if they help weed out bad entries and give me a little bit more edge there.

Yes, it went well. I didn't move my stop and actually extended the target at completion of those long lines as price came with strength to test the low. Although i have to say that it was painful to see it coming against me for like 20 points. Anyway, the day ended with +30 points.
Btw, i also received that warning from my broker that they are increasing margin from tomorrow even. Other people here in FF were saying the same. But i think it mos more on forex futures such as 6E, 6b and a couple others. Need to check it again tomorrow. Ok, good night guys. Gtg to bed. 12:30 am here

No actually, my broker, ninjatrader brokerage, is increasing the margins by 3X for all the products since today.

YM market outlook:

we had a retrace of price performing an 1/1 harmonic move (AB=CD) after that strong spike high. Now it seems that it is headed north in agreement with long term order flow. Let's see if it makes a NSH on short term order flow (which means break that supply zone at 17800-ish). However, on short term order flow, I wouldn't be surprised if it will continue going south testing at least 38.2% Fib retrace of the major moves up (17660 level in my graph). Let's see what happens. The 61.8% retrace of the big harmonic moves lies at 17560.

and at short term outlook we see that price retraced at 78.6% of the recent down swing. This tells us that the bears are loosing power. But, let's see if it is going to make a NSL (in line with expectations but weakening ones).

I think we are observing the same market behavior as in YM on E/U pair also.

We had two major swings to the upside (harmonic blue lines in the graph). Then market corrected by making a 1/1 harmonic moves (almost AB=CD) but in this case D completed at 127.2% extension of the AB swing (orange lines).

Now, if market breaks that little supply zone at point C, then probably it will continue higher making another harmonic upswing (blue line). However, there is a chance that market pulls back to test that NSL (point D) on short term, and touch exactly at 61.8% of the swing represented by the pink line, and then head north making that harmonic large move which was just mentioned (blue and pink lines).

let's see what happens.

yes, I'd also advise novice traders to stay alert, especially those trading forex, as every now and then there is news coming out on Brexit and those may make market changed direction immediately. I'd rather stay out of trading for this week.

one the other hand, YM tested that supply zone and retraced with strength to the downside. one possible trade is to go short at ca. 50% retrace at is coincides with a good supply zone on short term order flow. But, I wont risk trading yet until Yellen has spoken even though the trade set-up may look very promising.

I watched a bit YM. Not clear for me. I stay out. Too risky with these big rotating candles. I will watch again later. Would be nice, if you could give a hint what you are looking for.

I thought price was going high, but it's tought today. Tried trading short term swing but got two losses jn raw. I'm not trading anymore today. Hopefully better PA tomorrow.gl to u

we see currently a lot of short term expectation failures. I am only watching. Not sure that I will enter after the speech.
