I'm now preparing my charts for the week. Atm my weekly outlook on the pairs on my watch-list is as follows:
Bearish: AU, EG, EJ, EU, NU
Bullish: GN, UC
Wait/Mixed: GU

I usually wait for the US open to confirm where change in disposition needs be effected. Trade safe, trade well.

Focus on one method.
Focus on one pair.
Focus on trading.

Focus is closely related to waiting.
Waiting can be hard or easy.
Lack of focus makes waiting difficult.
Meditation may assist.

Few reading this will focus.
They will keep adding more methods to their arsenal.
Adding more indicators to their charts.
Adding more things to look at while trading.
Unfortunately, they will be adding more losses until their account ceases to exist.
So sad.

Less is more.
Less is better.
Only take what is needed.
Focus on the essential.

This is what has been passed down for centuries.
Few heed this wisdom.
Hence, few successful traders.

One of the trading decisions I took last week was to streamline the number of pairs I watch. I had placed 8 pairs on my watch list since March. I watched how they performed in relation to my trading system and style. Now I have decided to focus on just the following five: AU, EU, GN, GU, and UCAD.

After some testing, I have now streamlined my indicators to basically an EMA and RSI.

Always remember:

Now doing a weekly scan on the pairs on my watch list. I should be looking to trade 2-3 of the pairs during the week depending on how they rate after my weekly top down scanning.

Among other things, I will be looking for trends and RSI alignment across the HTFs I use.

My trading model is what I see as trapping the market. Central to trapping the market is defining the boundary and boundary conditions under which you want to watch, stalk and trap the market. In the process of doing this, I use price-turning zones or levels and see how price performs across the time frames within the boundary. Thus, as a short-term swing trader, I often use the 4H chart for my set-up time frame, but I scan lower time frames for efficient timing of trade entry and trapping of price action. Trade safe

To track the market, using a few complementary indicators will help. Rather than using a lot of redundant indicators, I use just three.

This week, I hope to trade EURNZD, GBPUSD and USDCAD among the pairs on my watch list. While I have not yet seen an indication to trade USDCAD, may be by Tuesday, the EURNZD pair is moving in the right direction for a pull-back before a bearish trade.

Nuggets:

Mastering one's system and approach to trading is fundamental to confident trading. Often, we get conflicting info from the community of traders - many of whom trade differently from us, e.g. different time frames, different trading styles etc - but trading based on your chart and your analysis, particularly using a top-down approach will facilitate confident trading.
