Hi Pipminer....is everybody killin'it....?....it's bouncing is stopping and it's already almost 2:30 N Y reversal time....you know when London will jumpit......half the time or better........it's as if when they're bored early in the week they do the 2:30 am N Y thing...Oil is up to 52 bucks now ....Gold holding...

Unless it quickly gets back under 155.5 and then 155, this could become a very bullish correction.

I'm out my short scalp 20 pips sidelines , don't like the look of the divergence on usdjpy . Will analyse the situation euro open again

waiting for a triangle breakout on 15m. my intraday bias on GJ bullish with entry at 156.15 and TP 157.30

I don't keep an eye on weekly and monthly pivot points (mainly because I don't have an indi to do so). Do you find they're effective supp/res points / areas for this pair?

Morning. I believe pivots are the only supp/res to use. For one reason and one reason only. It is the only fixed constant.

You and I might both draw trend lines, but your broker and mine might have the low or high differ buy 2 points, so therefore our trend lines don't match up.

Daily timeframe likes last month and this months' pivots, 4 likes last week and this weeks' pivot, and hourly likes yesterday and today's pivots. Yes, price does not always move from one pivot to the next on that time frame, because it has other pivots from other time frames to deal with.

I also believe that Forex is far far far easier than what it is made out to be. And only because of the 4 hundred thousand two hundred and 79 indicators available. Only using Pivots, (and macd to see the herd), 250 a week with GBPJPY is easy

I spent money wisely to get my setup the way that works for me.
I am a visual person, if I cannot see it, I cannot calculate it, therefore I cannot trade it.

Thanks for your response, Feo. So to clarify, on Daily TF, you reference previous weekly and monthly pivots. And on hourly you're looking at today's and yesterday's pivots. In other words, you're always referencing one and maybe two timeframes up for your pivot points? And I take it you're using standard pivot points?

Yes I agree, it's all about finding the visual setup that works for you. Being able to find that visual setup is the hidden gem!!

Is your success still the same in these volatile times of Brexit?

in the absence of an indi, there is a website called action pivots dot com that calculates them in real time. Make sure to flick to the 'daily' tab. Most traders use standard pivots, from what I understand.

The main for me are the weekly, using daily as entry points

yeah I understand, but my point was how do you know who is using which pivots... you want to be using the ones that the banks are using right... but how do you know?
