As long as iron ore oversupply globally and inflation is low, AUD has only one way to go is down. Sell above 0.7280+
AUDUSD Long traders desperate for some good news, really, building approvals isn't much of a gauge. And besides the 2.9 last month to 3.0 this month, hope you have your stop losses ready.

True, but the trade balance has improved, although not as much as predicted, still enough to have some influence over the GDP figure tomorrow, which may come back better than expected.

I agree with the short sentiment just be careful of this news, bulls are on the prowl for a sniff of anything positive after their bashing the past month.
AUD could definitely need good news. I'm not holding my breathe though.

For me, once 7150 gives in, no retrace before 7110. GDP data is out on Wednesday and I'll cash in all my shorts. A correction might be due regardless of the actual numbers especially since a lot of positions will be closed out at the end of May tomorrow night. I don't know if we'll see 7300 again but in case of 7250 I'll reload heavy shorts again targeting 6950 first. {image}

The news was better than forecast if that is what your asking. It looks like they had good data related to the housing sector.

Building approvals was a 'red' calendar event approx 9.5 hours ago. If it wasn't on your economic calendar you need to review your settings or get a new calendar service. It was on FF calendar.

Yeah can see now. On my FX Team calender it was a green event. Oh well, live and learn.
