Right, I trade similar style, I had some time today and did some backtesting, this system has an edge.

My test:

  1. Pair: EURUSD
  2. Spread: 2
  3. Period: 1 year (almost)
  4. Time frame: H1 and H4 (any timeframe less than H1 is not profitable, D1 so so - break even)
  5. Broker: GMT+2
  6. Account size: 10000
  7. Risk (.25% so because you open two trades, it's .50%)

H4:

  1. Profit: 2000 with DD 40%
  2. (If only 1 trade with 1:1 R:R): 2000 with DD 16%
  3. (If only 1 trade with 1:2 R:R): 1000 with DD 29%

H1:

  1. Flat (no conditions) profit: -5000 with DD 55%
  2. Limit trading time (London and NY session): -2000 with DD 35%
  3. Limit time and choose location (example HOD or LOD) profit: 650 with 11% DD
  4. Now if only 1 trade with 1:1 R:R profit: 0 with DD 8%
  5. If only 1 trade with 1:2 R:R profit: 800 with 5%DD

This last setup has good potential, if I increase the risk from .25% to 1% (just to match DD from H4): profit 3000 with 20DD


These are my results showing this system has an edge (especially with the thread started rules), so thanks for his work.

i mark only the win + lose

no mark (1st win+2nd lose =0)
no mark if the pending orders dont active
Dimdel, I still would like to clarify if you don't mind.
Do you ever cancel pending order?
Or perhaps if pending order has not been activated for 1-2-3 candles you cancel it?

if the previus candle pending dont activate then i cancel it
if active let it go to SL/TP
i want to remind that must expect 8-10 loses in row
so the acount must manage this DD
this happen because i trade every candle
if trade only the first new color then we have less DD and less profit

Καλό το συστημα και διαβάζοντάς το μου έδωσες μια καλη ιδεα. Heiken Ashi κοκκινο και ταυτοχρονα πρασινο κερι σημα για αγορά . Κλεισμο θέσης στην αντιθετη περιπτωση και πωληση . Ασφαλως μετα απο λιγο ανεβασμα μετακινηση της θεσης στο break even .

Hi Dimdel, a question re chart on post 2,704. The week started with a red candle followed by three greens. Then a red. Why didn't you take this trade? Was that not valid or was that your sleep time?

Hello Dimdel, you have a great thread. We are in a same boat because I trade forex based on daily chart too. I don't trade today because I am waiting for a valid signal to sell GJ ( I am targeting 152.500 as a next destination ).

thanks for sharing new set of rules. I see that you have rule for H4 candle size "valid candle = 8 pips < candle < 65 pips". Do you have similar rule for D1 candle or you trade all of them disregarding size of the D1 candle?
