Next week I'm gonna make a new update in COT section - so now it will be possible to get COT in disagregated (Dealers, Asset Mgrs Lev Money) format and in more traditional - combined (Commercials, Non-Commercials, Small Speculators). And there will be also possible to draw and use COT Index indicator for any given instrument - either disaggregated or combined. Some more testings are needed...

I'm using them, works great but for most data we have to wait a month to see if all works well, then can give feedback. But so far so good.

hi, hm work great on data ? u mean u trade b4 the news by looking at the graph of de data?
no, that's not how it works. PMI for example is a good tool to see where the SPX500 will go longer term. Do some research on PMI data.

COT report can be very useful to measure market participants sentiment - there are lots of videos on YouTube (here for example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHHErptX-pM). The general idea behind the COT report is to check what the big dogs are doing - and follow them. But in fact there are lots of the info which can be obtained from it. I used to use some websites in the past to check the COT charts but recently decided that it will be good to have COT report in my trading terminal next to other charts

can you explain step 6 in installation. What do I do with rest of the dll files, where do I put them.

On you machine please try to open the folder where your terminal is installed - for exmaple it could be C:\Program Files (x86)\FXCM MetaTrader 4\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\Alpari Limited MT4\ or whatever folder you have - and just move all dll files except DarkMindConnect.dll to this folder - so as the result you'll have only DarkMindConnect.dll in the Indicators\DarkMindFx folder and 9 dll-s in C:\Program Files (x86)\FXCM MetaTrader 4\.
Please drop me a line if this explanation was helpful - otherwise I'll try to make a video or something like this.

I don't know if it's even possible, but could you put in indicator options to show an expected value. Now you got only real value. Cause trading is all about expectation.

You are reading my thoughts I'm currently exploring this question pretty heavily - but as for now I haven't found solid providers of the consensus numbers. But of course it will be really cool to have Real vs Expected values. I'm working on that!

Hi Fancysegs

Regarding how to works. I've got a service on the internet which collect the info from the official data sources (like CFTC, BLS, FRED etc) and stores them in my DB. These data is periodically updated so the DB always contains the latest values available from the officials.

Regarding usage. The idea is that tech analysis gives you overview from one angle, while fundamentals and COT report gives you other points of view on the market - and so if you'll combine the - fundamental + tech - you'll get the much better understanding of what is happening right now and how you should trade.

GlobusFx. Works like a charm. Thanks very much. COT data of interest to FX traders comes in 2 forms. First, is the legacy (classic) COT data which is often referred to as COT data (it shows commercials, large specs and small specs). Second, is the TFF (Traders in Financial Futures) COT Data (it shows dealer/intermediary, asset manager/institution, leveraged funds and other reportables). Is the COT data that is being the displayed with the current indicator the first or the second data set?
