ThanksD I had one more question about the line chart for you or anyone. Do you want for the bar to close before taking a 123 out do you put a limit order on 2?

123 is always executed on 2. So limit orders on 2.
The Earlier You Start, The More Time You Have To Mess Up.

Then it's possible that in those line charts in the same bar the price will cross 2 and then go back down before the bar closes like a fake out like more tricky than a whipsaw.

Daily chart gave a price action sell signal so currently short for a swing trade. I'm thinking that the volatility we so enjoyed in Jan & Feb is about to return with gusto!

It looks like Im a little late to the party. Anyone still trading with 123s and 2Bs? It looks like trading on the 13r chart hasnt been too great for the last week or two.

I've been working my way slowly through this thread (only up to page 13 so much more to go) but it has been very helpful so far. Back to trading after a few years off, I was a little disillusioned as I was only hitting about 22% win rate in the last week (I would have been better flipping a coin at 1:1 R/R). So done a little testing over the last few days, and traded using the basics today (live account). 80% win rate, and a 2.6% overall gain. Very pleased.
Return on Equity: 2017, 32.4%; 2018; 8.0%, 2019 (30Apr), 4.5%

Its so true and reading over the last year's worth of posts on your thread shows us that it is possible yet elusively difficult for most. Are you still chugging along with the 13r chart and 50sma Divergence? I had done some back testing using your midnight to session open bias on 13r and April seemed to really cough up the ticks. The last two weeks following the rules strictly hasnt been so good though I would love it if you'd be willing become active again on this awesome thread! It seems I had just missed the party when other poster participation fizzled which is a shame because you have really raked in the dollars!

Appreciate the kind words yes still on 13 rb with 50 sma and added 10 sma trading just pullbacks. My posting days are really over

I know it is still very very early days, but I thought I would just share with you the chart below. From trade 31 onwards , I have taken trades after taking a step back, finding this thread, reading a little, studying a little, testing a little. I have won 15 out of the last 18 trades, some after moving SL to a few pips past BE, some taking the full targeted profit. Admittedly I am not a complete rookie, but far from experienced either - this thread has simply helped me re-focus and look at the reasons why I was entering and exiting trades.

The party - which is the market - never stops, you just have to step onto the dance floor and DO IT.

As long as you are disciplined and do not under any circumstances risk real money, ie. trade in sim mode until you have several consecutive positive weeks, you will not get hurt. One of the great things about trading is that your account statement, live or demo, never lies...

Think i'm gonna disagree with JT here,

I would recommend putting money on the table as soon as possible. A very very small amount, relative to pot, of course, but nothing sharpens you up as much as having live risk. Mistakes will mean something and the learning process is quicker because of this...

The great thing about the markets is it's scaleability. Once you break into consistently able to make profits, you simply scale it up bit by bit, keeping exactly the same methodology...

Disagree, CG... whatever next ... LOL...

I was specifically referring to YM, where for many a 1 lot @ $5/tick might be relatively a great deal & is not scaleable (don't know if the DOW CFD would work, but that's not available in the US)...

... where I agree with you is with cash FX where you can start trading a 10c/pip microlot, or less... BUT still it seems crazy to risk real $$$ or real cents if you cannot trade consistently in SIM (in which case Live you'll have zero chance). I DO agree that once you are sim-trading profitably, you should transition to real dough ASAP, however small the position size.
