Hello, ive been reading Clives posts over and over about his entries, but still dont understand how he identifies signals from the CCI(8).
He said :" ...looking for our CCI signals as close to the 35 LWMA as possible."

What does he mean by "close to the 35 lwma"? Does he mean, he wants price to pullback/bounce from this area before entering.

And for clarification, when using the CCI for sell/buy signals he said : While in a downtrend we wait for CCI to enter -100(oversold) for sell signals. And if we are in a uptrend we wait for the CCI to go to enter +100 (overbought)

But from what I've gathered online, the way you look for selling signals on a CCI while in a downtrend, you wait for CCI to enter +100(instead of -100) , because this is telling us price has reached its buying maximum and is getting ready to reverse. As price is going up forming a peak to place our sell signal, for a good entry.
And while in a uptrend we wait for CCI to enter -100(instead of +100) because price has reached its maximum selling potential, and is beginning to go back up.

No idea where you read on my thread to sell oversold signals and buy overbought ones as that is a recipe for disaster....

Its definitely the opposite way round, we are looking to sell "overbought markets" +100 levels in a downtrend and buy "oversold markets" -100 levels in n uptrend. Therefore we are selling wave tops in a downtrend and buying wave bottoms in an uptrend...

This TrendCCI indicator you are using looks very nice and different from CCI I have.
Could you please tell me where I can find the .mq4?

Hey Clive, Since I have been following you for the past couple of months I have been able to improve my Demo Account success. I was up 15% in April and am up 7% in May. At the end of May I intend to put my money where my mouth is and Live Trade. I am a visual learner and your charts are what do it for me. I am 70 and things don't come easy. I been at this daily for well over 2 years, never giving up and all of a sudden things started to come together for me while doing your Thread.

I am trading a 3M Renko Chart next to your 1M chart. I have the Renko set up with 3 pip bars on a 3 minute chart with all the same indicators. i have a 21LWMA. Seems to be doing the trick. The two yellow vertical lines are the same time period. I am running the Ice_Fx Velocity Meter that seems to show when momentum is moving in.

Hi Everyone. Just jumping on this thread. Downloading Clives indis (pg.3) and 1m Template. What I don't find is the color changing LWMA indi....? Am I blind? Is it there among all of Clives indis but not identified as LWMA? I sure would appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction or supplying a download link. Thank you in advance!

hards - glad you found the thread useful but we don't use Renko - we use Range Bars these days. However, it started off with m1 which works ok so probably no reason why it wouldn't work with renko. You seem to have had good results with it so far so good luck to you.

Thank you for your previous response Clive,

But I have read 100 pages starting from 416, but cant get a clear understanding of knowing when to exit an entered trade. The closes I got to knowing when to close a trade is when the color(lwma) changes or when price faulters(idecision candles). However, if one waits for indecison candles or color changes they lose any potential pips they just gathered. So I was wondering, have I missed a post where Clive speaks about proper exiting, where he goes in-depth like he previously did about entries. How does one know when price has reached its limit and is about to reverse?

In Post 9732 Clive gives a one liner on closing, it is an update post well worth reading if you have not come across it already, also Post 8353. Indicators on Posts.8891,8898.8899,9001.
Clive on exits below.
"Exits present the usual dilemma but I tend to aim for at least 10 and try to hold on for 20 plus if I can, but 10 is great."

Hards, You are brave trading a 3p Renko, I could only manage 5, 3 to fast for a 78 year old
Found that there was a time lag on Renko everything slowed down even using a cross hair was painful.
Was using RenkoLiveChart_3.2, I really like the clean look of a Renko chart, changed to Range Bars and find them good not quiet as clean as Renko but no delay or freezing of charts.
You may be using a more updated one. May I ask what Renko indi are you using?

Thomond, there are a couple more renko ea/indi's noted in this post:Post 1,257. Depends on if you want standard or median renko. -Jason
