Solely based on candlestick combinations, one can observe the AUDUSD is approaching the key support level (2), which is simply 61.8% retracement of the March candle (the biggest bullish closing in almost 4 years). The circled area (1) represents the possible evening star formation which can strengthen bearish bias if the current month closes below 0.73. However, if the pair can resume upside movement in the next two weeks, we are most likely to see 0.80 (3), the next big figure in the coming months.

They always disappear but when price was rallying the guys shorting were still here.

I'm one of them, I'm here, it's going higher than .79, just give it some time, all of this is just giving bears confident to short more and then boom it will go higher.

Seriously? Please elaborate.

I personally don't think Labor will win the election but regardless of who does, it won't make a shred of a difference in the currency. The Aussie is just way too much dependent on China and resources exports for any government to buckle a long term trend.

Surely the government can stuff up things badly but that's not limited to either persuasion because both will tow the same line.

Indeed, showing some signs of support on the daily. Shall see how price action behaves next week before engaging this pair once again.
