Looking at daily chart sold a small lot @ 154.55 with SL 155.55(100Pips). Planning to hold till weekend, Manufacturing PMI data may take it to SL but taking a small risk. Done for the day, going to have few pegs of Whisky as usual, Happy trading friends...

The pullback in GU was clear as day. Just a matter of time. Now this move is the real question IMO. Yea there was contraction in manufacturing pmi for the UK but they have a services based economy so im not sure this down move will last. Until 1.435 goes im looking for a buy opportunity on a dip. I think the GU still has more up to go

Still in a sell since yesterday at 155.911. Currently 125 pips in profit. Is anyone interested in creating a similar thread for other pairs?

I don't understand why GBPJPY is the popular one with the most activity. For example, why not a CADJPY thread, etc.? Here's a CADJPY currently 111 pips in profit.

Let's get active with other pairs like EURCHF.

EUR, USD, CAD are always news dependent, where as GBP and JPY is the most volatile pair with less news relevant and more technical relevant. Many traders including me, raiders, geppy, maflip and many others are trading this pair from years and making consistent profit so we people are more active in this thread, i guess there are many threads where many traders are discussing almost all major pairs. To be frank you can't compare CADJPY with GJ because CJ is volatile without a trend normally. Happy trading brother..

Thanks about letting me know what you think. I'm OK trading whatever pair, I'm just trying to pick a pair where people are active with it on forum so that it can be discussed, etc. I guess it'll be GBPJPY for now...

EJ about 10 pips away from that top trendline of the triangle...

so far its lovely

121.2 first level im looking at and then 118 if it gets funky and kuroda plays nice

Robertk, I don't trade this way but my guess is an ABC correction at the end of the 5 wave sequence on H1 which might give you an initial target at 160.500 at the breakout of 157.100 or so. That is if you trade this way, like I said, I don't trade this way so I'm not an expert on it. Maybe GBPJPY is a really technical pair and not so much a news pair?

Thanks for your thoughts on it but this definitely has a different cause. It moved 3/4 of its daily ADR within seconds, without news. Talking about a fat finger somewhere...

Yeah that's what I was essentially saying too. In other words, it could have moved due to technical reasons instead of news reasons.

no liquidity at this time of the day plus Japanese holiday. some big shot prob took profits and it ran through stops or something.

booked all my short profits both usdjpy and gbpjpy since last week short entires ..I'm not scared of BoJ they won't do nothing until usdjpy 100 imo.
Lots people this forum thought this will go up since Monday, like I said early week, once usdjpy stays above 106.90 will look at longs.

Ah, good to know. I didn't realize it was a Japanese holiday. Personally, I'm going to buy at around 155.121 or so.
