DislikedPure mechanical (technical) trend following does not work people. Sooner or later you will understand this! Especially when applied in a systematic way. The only way to make it work, is to use discretionary method in combination with fundamentals/news. Your "arguments" mean nothing, just words! The facts show that most people chase trends, and most people lose their money. And I on the other side have real evidence. Please, test the EA as long as you want. Use different settings, different time frames.... and you will see that the expectation per...Ignored

DislikedIt is hard to believe anything written on the Internet without personal proof. I don't believe 9/11 ever happened because I wasn't there and anyway Donald Trump said it was 7/11 so who can I believe. Here in the Forex Factory we seek the truth and every single opinion I have seen thus far has had the opposite view chucked at it until an argument ensues. Really what does it matter which way produces the more pips or points these are only the chart increments it is what we do with them that counts as far as trading is concerned. One can develop a...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Aplhaomega, I just want to make clear that this is not to go against you (cause you are free to believe what you want and in other occasions I would not even answer) but to only direct the newbies in the right direction, witch is not to avoid the trend cause that is a very big mistake. It is clear that you are not a professional trader or has not been around any in institutions or banks. If you are going to use indicators to trade the trend you have to know how to use them correct, witch 99% do not know, yes you read that correct, 99% use...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Of course nothing here is personal! I'm just trying to make a point so we can get the truth out. Let's be clear. According to the classic trend following concept like the one described and used by the turtles, Richard Dennis, Ed Seykota and all other famous trend followers..it says that the correct way to trade the trend is to buy high and sell higher, or sell low and buy lower. The problem is that this methodology no longer works! The markets have changed. What use to work in the past is now useless. You see, back in 70's and 80's the...Ignored
