Thanks. Just being reading up on this. I think for now I will just compare my results to what a set & forget result would of been. Once I have enough data, and it seems more profitable then my manual closing system, I may even switch!

I think that would be a great idea with whatapp or even telegram, at least we could see how and when your exiting and give us an insight on your thoughts when you exit the trade, just brought your trial yesterday didn't have time today to trade so will be with you all tomorrow, see you all then.

Hi,

You don't need it on the charts, but you need it installed on your MT4 for the Forex Breakout Direction Indicator to work

I've just updated the PDF instructions to state-

News & Bank Holidays
We do not trade on any UK or USA bank holiday.
We do not trade on GBP pairs where major news is out that day before 12:00pm
We do on not a AUD, JPY or NZD pair where major news has been released before London opens (00:00 - 08:00)

If trading a USD cross (USDCHF, USDJPY, GBPUSD, EURUSD, AUDUSD etc) on a major USA news day, the forex pair will be closed if in profit at 12:00pm GMT before the USA markets open

If trading a CAD cross (AUDCAD, EURCAD, USDCAD etc) on a major CAD news day, the forex pair will be closed if in profit at 12:00pm GMT before the CAD markets open

Exit Trades
If you are not using the e-Trailing EA then, for buy stop and sell stop orders only-
When Target 1 is hit, we move the stoploss to -20 pips
When Target 2 is hit, we move the stoploss to breakeven
When Target 3 is hit, we move the stoploss to +20 pips

We set ourselves a daily account growth target between 1-3%
At 12:00pm GMT before the USA forex market opens we would make an assessment to close all our trades if the daily target is reached.

(This system can also applied as set & forget, which you will leave your trades to either hit the take profit or stop loss levels. At the end of the trading day, all orders should be closed, unless the stoploss as been moved to breakeven).

Any currency pairs where Target 2 has already been reached (stoploss moved to breakeven) these orders would be left to run, either left to hit the target values or retrace back to breakeven.

1. You could get a decent Windows VPS for as low as $8.50 a month (1 CPU, 1 GB SSD RAM), which would be more practical for the planned experiment than a laptop. (You should be able to run about 3-4 MT4s on it smoothly.)

2. Commercial member are allowed to send limited PMs. You might want to post your e-mail address also in your profile as e-mail addresses from posts are usually removed by the moderators.

3. Based on yesterday's discussion about GMT/BST, I suggest updating the PDF with the start/stop hours rolled back by ONE HOUR in the settings, so everybody could adjust them according to his/her broker's specific "GMT+X" time, which can vary among your custormers. By doing this, you would not have to change the current instructions about GMT, AND you would not have to modifiy it after DST is over in October, i.e. when London moves back from BST to GMT (in case you wanted to use "BST" instead of "GMT").

You are very welcome!

As a current customer I would be glad to "beta trial test" the fully automated version if you decide to market it (as I can see that you are seriously considering it).

This step would probably attract not only traders with daytime jobs (as mentioned before), but also US/Canadian and South American customers for whom it must be pretty difficult to get up at night to decide which pairs to trade and which not.

I just was tidying up my charts, when I click onto EURCHF and added my EA template, by accident. Now I'm in a sell trade which I didn't want to be, SELL 0% Grrr.

Will try and close this one out for break even.

I've set my TP for 1 pip profit....hoping it goes my way...

Thanks for the feedback. I too closed out early, at the time I closed for 2.66% account growth, but I'm thinking maybe set and forget is the way? I've been looking at my trades from last week, I would of made around 263 pips more if I did not close early!

I'm guessing that's the major question, risk or reward!

I will start to show actual results and set and forget results from this week (started yesterday).

I will update today's trades in a hour or so
