Makes it tuff when the EA keeps trying to place new trades, you have to babysit the trade, and when you're monitoring 15 pairs it becomes a maddening excercise. Look for a pop in UJ now. I'm attempting a 1-1.5% capture on each trade or basket 5%.

Your not using a good version of part 1 fix lots. Try this one if you want to play around with this.

I did some tests with EUR/JPY 10 pip data converted to 0,1 (down,up) moves. Testing 1000 bars and using all possible parameter combinations the best I could come up with was $840, but this was with a starting $1000 balance, so floating negative equity.

After this I replaced the text box with a richTextBox and pasted in 44K 10 pip records from EUR/JPY and used the default settings. This test covers about 6 1/2 years of 10 pip data on E/J and is a good test because E/J has a large downtrend then a large uptrend and a double top and beginning downtrend at the end - all this covering 5000 pips of range (twice). The test is still running but a preview of the carnage:

Note the open deals and max drawdown! Ouch! Once a large number of open deals get in place the winning side doesn't have any chance to offset the losing side - it's too big to overcome. Most of the time was spent in an open loss, and the rather quick up move on E/J just about destroyed the account. The actual market has many more small up/down sequences than are expected by the algo. The algo does well when it has sequential moves 3 or more in one direction but all these small up/down 01010110011 create too many orders - followed by a trend and the losing side has too many orders to overcome. So this was the final pain for this test run with a starting 10K balance to ending -68K equity:

Ok About Hedging 3Pairs My Case..

I'm using remon78eg 30-03-2016.mq4

Version and it doesn't work like I need.. I do 1 Instant Buy Only and 2 Sell Only.

Problem is ones doing Anti trend, Sell only Keep on Selling (Open Trades) when price goes UP BUT

The BUY only won't open New trades above Entry NOR Won't Close Original Entry Position for Profit and Reopen Higher...

I GOT Minimum Profit Set to 10.0 , I assuming that's DOLLARS, Why is the heck it's already +$30 and Trade Still OPEN?

At least Please FIX CLOSE the TRADE at Settings Specify and Reopen, this Way I can accumulate the Profit.. Thanks.

P.S. I think I found what's need to be changed, will do it myself

CloseAll(OP_SELL,SellMinTic);


It's actually counting Open trades and saying if Open Trades = 2 or More then Close All and reopen..

Heck I will change it to 1

Hi Mario,

Pls see the Screen shot below...it crossed the tunnel as expected and it opened the buy only , but seems it closed all lower buy positions it kept only sell poistions ...is there any flaw in this ??...if u see in this case 5 sell and 4 buys are there ..when the profit position buys will be closed and how the lower losing sell positions will be taken care to avoid DD ?..pls advise.

just want to share my results in case if someone interested...
it is pretty much the first EA posted with voldemar.
the setting file is attached. ( 3 pips grid)

a few things to state for the better understanding:
traded pair only EurUsd.
the result here is a forward test on demo, not backtest.
the results are from 6 days, 3+3, between I had a short vacation.
the EA doesn't run 24/7. Initially started out as full day, that got reduced by the days...within the 6 days (144 hours total) it ran only 73 hours!
the last 3 days especially got shut down once news were expected, or day's target ( approx. 10% of starting balance reached).
I found that time to time needs manual intervention ( to "reset" the EA) as between staring grid orders in time tend to have a larger gap....if I found that I close one side or all manually to let EA restart from scratch. In turn, while "only" 686 total trade was done, the profit factor remained an almost decent 1.8!
unfortunately the DD% of the test result is useless as is, of course the max DD% was lot more than the 3% in data, I found it to be somewhere between 15-20% if remember correctly. Floating DD% that is.
all in all in reflection of the +69.4% gain, the DD% is acceptable. however day to day profit vs DD% is not that healthy, need to know and prepare for this about grid.

conclusions so far:
grid trading is not low risk, but once managed it can be rewarding.
chance of blowing up account if not managed is higher. thus periodic withdrawals must be considered.
a pair need to be chosen wisely. worth considering a trading time vs. 24/7 trading. must consider high impact news. as well as "normal" trading ranges of the pair. else risk can get out of hand very easily.
now to be seen if 100% gain can be reached or not. the past equity gain most certainly helps to keep a healthier margin and DD%.

Dunno, how you people trade but "APG_04_A2.mq4"

Its like DOG eating Account a live, I've tried all of those versions when used with

0.10 Lot and on like 5+ pairs it eats Account By DD equity in the speed of 3000$ per 24-48 hours...

It's opens Buy and Sell and keep DD account all day long... No Edge what so ever...

I am sorry, but not sure how original exactly the idea is when it comes to grids in any form or shape.
Once you code the promised EA based on part2, there might be something to claim ownership ( your code), but until we seem to use here EAs coded on not part2 video, nor by remon;
no disrespect meant. just to stay on the facts.

I'm not surprised that you are getting these results with EURJPY. Better if you actually used a pair that has less volatility as no one in their right mind would put Mr Remon's method to something like the EURJPY. As spectacular of a system this in, I fear for the people who don't know what they're doing and are going to blow their account because they are applying this like poison in a gold cup.
