Is this a programming thing or a perfectionist thing? Maybe I don't understand...

To me I would say commissions and pip spreads are negligible to the amount of profit return that can be made. NO?

Hyptohetically speaking...

You have a 2 pip spread and a pip for commission (exaggerated) + 1 pip swap fees to cover.
At .01 lot size, that's 40 cents per trade that is lost in fees alone.

If you have a take profit of $5 and 20 trades close at the same time, you have made $5 but lost 20 x .40= $8 for a total net gain of <$3.00>

Does it matter?

Method 2 simulator, if you put '001' or '110' many times, it can drain the equity fast, just to point a little bug on the current system, hoping there might be a workaround for that, even though the market doesn't keep going on the same pattern but it is a possibility to fall on a trend going like stairs...

Latency will have an impact on this as well, but when the trend changes, best to get out of the trades with minimal profit than to take a loss or get caught holding the bag for a lot worse.

Yes, default settings. I no got any error message, I think is something wrong on your notification settings.
Sure have DD spikes, but a deposit of 5000 survived for one and half year giving 30.000 gain. Sure the EA can be improved but the logic is the more similar to the original. Mr. Hopwood give to all the follower of this forum tons of instruments so for me it deserve my respect.

Hi Remon,
I have just tried your method#2 simulator.
In step # 23, I see a change in how the simulator close the buy position, instead closing the bottom position(1 & 7), it closed position 1 & 3.
Can you explain why this happened?
What rules change this closing behavior?
