Speaking of servers and such like, any idea why most of these are not available? I only just opened this demo account on the 28th March to test out MT Predictor trading platform. I realize some broker demo will expire at the end of the month but it was okay until close of trade on Friday 1st April. And their website advise that demo will expire after 30 days. I would try to open another demo but not much point if it won't connect. Thanks, John {image}

As you noted in your second post, since trading is closed on the weekend, we sometimes use this period for scheduled maintenance and updates. Trading is open from 5pm Sunday to 5pm Friday New York Time. You should have a received an email with your requested demo login details now, but if you haven't please send me a PM with your name, email, country of residence, and the currency denomination and starting balance you want for your MT4 demo.

You can pull up a tick chart on Trading Station to see our historical spreads. Below you can see EUR/USD spreads widened to 10.2 pips during last Friday's Non Farm Payroll announcement.

Thanks, got all that sorted........... now, here is a real problem, for me at least.

I have MT Predictor, I'm hoping that you are aware of it?

It takes a data feed from FXCM, that's why I have the demo at the moment, live account is in progress.

As you know, FXCM charts have 5 bars or candles for the trading week.

However, MT Predictor shows the Sunday bar; however, they say they do nothing with the data from FXCM

Is there any way to get rid of the small bar?

I have tried changing my computer time but unable to find any time zone that eliminates this.

See the picture and maybe that can explain better than I'm doing.

Jason, many thanks. I see Skrill as funding option on the Fxcm US website But no mention for Skrill on both the UK and Italian website. Maybe EU branches will add soon Skrill? I will also contact the UK or IT Office for details

Jason Many tnx. Strange, i have phoned to the italian office not more than 2 weeks ago and they told me that FXCM accepts only deposits through wire transfer and credit card (and so i have used my funds on Skrill to open an ECN account at FX Open ). May i deal with the UK office or i am forced to deal with the italian one?

I apologize for any confusion in the information you received previously. Your account is set up under our UK entity which is regulated by the FCA in England, and you can fund using Skrill. With regard to the FXCM US$ Index, I understand the original composure of it was 25% each Aud, Jpy, Gbp and Euro.

Could You tell me please, do these proportions vary according to price movements of the associated currencies, or, do they remain static ?

If indeed the proportions vary, then could You please also include an up-to-date summary of the %age make-up ?

Hi John,

While I'm not familiar with MT Predictor, if it works like some other MT4 indicators I know, then it may have an option called GMT Offset. You should set the value to 3*.


* In order for the MT4 platform to display 5 daily candles per week on the charts, the server time has to be in sync with the New York Close. The close of the 24-hour trading day occurs at 5pm New York Time, and the US is currently on Daylight Savings Time. At FXCM, we set the MT4 server time to GMT+3, so midnight on charts and thus the start of each daily candle correspond to 5pm New York Time.

The Dow Jones FXCM Dollar Index (ticker: USDOLLAR) began with a base value of 10,000 on 31 December 2010 by equally weighting EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and AUD/USD at 25% each. As time goes by, position values fluctuate and deviate from the original 10,000 value and 25% weighting.

Can you please explain why FXCM commissions are shown as withdrawals when linked to Myfxbook for analysis.
Also in MT4 they don't show in the commission column but as separate transactions called balance?

Hi Knockroe,

It has to do with how MT4 is connected to our back office. This gives you access to your account from either MT4 (desktop and mobile) or Trading Station (desktop, mobile and web), but it also means commissions appear as withdrawals on the MT4 platform itself. Since Myfxbook is compatible with Trading Station, the solution is to add your FXCM account to your Myfxbook portfolio as follows:
