Has anyone tried the Remon78eg part 2 EA? it is based on the video 2 concept from Remon ? I am still on the 30-03-2016 version. ​
i have tried to start trades with a trend, now i prefer to follow the trend

0 modeling quality and over 2000 mismatches in backtest.
backtest is there to test if your system is working and opens/closes orders how it should, it will not act like a forward test and results must be ignored.
For those who don't belive that backtest is worthless i can pm an ea that does fantastic in backtest and decimates an account in a week or less.

Agree, backtests should be used only with lots of reservations and optimistic scepticism. And thanks for pointing it out.

In backtesting, so long as you are using tickmode, I didn't think TF made any difference as it is on tick.

Am I wrong in saying this? I am unfamiliar with the backbone of strategy tester in tickmode.

I am using 0.01 lot size and account size of £500.

I keep it at £500 to emulate live trading conditions. This is the amount I plan on investing when I start trading live again.

I've been 10+ years on and off at this game and I am not blowing another account!

For what it's worth to anybody, this is definitely one of the best of the best I have seen in 10+ years. And trust me, just because I am excited about this EA, I have a very negative opinion for nearly most of them. I conducting a test on another successful grid EA created elsewhere but I have abandoned it as I think this has better potential. The other one was trading to linear and even though it never lost, it can take 3 months to get out of a hedge.

I am so confident with this that I am nearly at the point of taking this EA live while waiting for Mr Remon. I am extremely paranoid of getting back to live trading just to give you an indication on how much confidence I have with this. Newbies, be lucky because I think that you have just landed in gold dust!

As far as I know MT4 backtest "tick data" are only virtual tick data with "tick mode" testing.

With 5-Minute testing the MT4 uses 4 data of each 5-minute candle: Open, High, Low, Close, and the price movements inside each M5 candle are SIMULATED in "tick mode", which makes higher time-frame results are very unreliable.

With M1 candles the price variances are lower (i.e. inside M1 candles), so results are more accurate. (Backtests with M1 candles takes much longer time, because 5x more data have to analyzed.)

It's funny to watch how this thread slowly turn into discussion of blind with deff.. People still posting some charts proofs
while there is gazzilion versions of EA and settings already available.. I almost blow 3k Account on EU using 0.01 lot
when EU run up 100 pips, closed manually to save at least 1/3 of what's left.. It's fun... To trade on Real Account
at think you first need to rob a Bank...

This is an experimental demo account, so I keep it running 24/5 and I manually close all open trades when there is a NET 5% PROFIT, then "Rinse & Repeat".

This account is anticipated to crash, so please DO NOT trade these parameters live. I just want to see how fast and under what market circumstances it will crash.

Hmmmm... As I said I know nothing about the background of backetsting on MT4 but I just tried the M1 and to me it seems the opposite has happened.

I did notice that when you are using the larger timeframes, MT4 says that it is gathering other timframe information before the test begins.

I am wondering whether it is the higher TF tests at tick mode that product better results.

I'll keep digging to find out. Just that the M1 didn't work out for me. It could be my platform of provider's data. I DON'T KNOW.

we can use the EA for many uses ...

we can follow the direction of D1 candle that changes direction

Yesterday GBPUSD changed direction,, today joined with EA remon fixed lot only SELL

We had other pairs who changed direction,,, yesterday and today we have several pairs with D1 sail changing the direction. We put the EA only to operate in the direction of D1 candle changed.

In these 02 days, I made more than 4700 pips, with a distance of 05 pips.

Just one suggestion for test

See that today we have a few pairs changing the direction of D1 candle
example: EURAUD BUY, BUY USDCAD, AUDCHF SELL and other ...

just riding a remon sell fixed lot and batch remon fixed buy
