take an example: there is a 100 pips move, even at news, that fairly often followed by some pullback. ( pairs where daily range is about 80-100 pips normal conditions).
yes, I know it put pressure on the margin, however it does when there is the better/best probability for at least a temporary pullback.
with EA closing out trades usually about on pullback of 2 steps, this could greatly boost that closing chances and recovery.
it is not exactly like roulette, where individually every spin has the same 50% ( forget green for a second) of being red/black the next number, even if one would argue that after 10 spin it is more likely that 10 blacks sooner will be followed by red...
the major difference that roulette wheels don't make decisions and it isn't based on sentiment.
trading is, and it is the ppl who trade that they at some point start to judge price as oversold/overbought, thus generate the needed pullback.
the longer the price travelled from a median point, the more likely that this sentiment takes place.
thus a somewhat bottom heavy position should benefit this strategy.
but again, I am no guru, just a toying with an idea and a different opinion
