EU H4 - this 1 was really risky but i have been practicing JPY candle patterns on the naked thread .... as D & LK say .... TMS wit PA is da bomb [just in case im wrong have set 2 BE early ]

oh - my standard PT r 200/300/400 .... i move around if i need 2

GU H4 - just 1 ticket here .... far far 2 risky .... broke [look left supp &] BRN .... then retest .... could have added like the master OS .... do u tink that pivots work

i had drawn this channel on my chart and was basing my decison to short on this. the break of this pendant/triangle [red circle] also coincided with the TDI cross. I know this pattern is primarily a buying pattern but as it broke to the downside i just sorta assumed a break to the downside was a sell signal too?

[this is on a m30 marketscope chart of usd/jpy, with no clutter/indicators]


I am finding it hard to know how to apply/draw the appropriate channels and trendlines, at the time i thought mine looked great

I'm currently on NU Short. With a Few positions opened around .6800 and .6770 .6760 and last .6750, currently waiting for ADR Low to hit so far so good. keeping a closer look. Possibly go long soon. if it does not break .6700 TDI is almost maxing out. but it's also pretty strong lets see where it takes me. No news until later today for NZ and US news tomorrow.

hello Likica i am new to TMS 30 mins and will love to learn i have been in the back ground learning and reading all through the post to grab as many as i can love your trading style i entered a trade yesterday and i made 17 pips that was great for me i traded the EA pair.i am in EA now i will post the chart later any advice

...sure but LK is say'n look @ H4 .... it does not agree cause the bearish flag took far far 2 long to break low

Thank you GS i'm starting to learn to take profits. reading the charts best of my abilities. I closed my trades with pretty good profits. It's to far below TDI 32 at the moment and at .6700 I can see it go back up again from here atleast to test the .6750-.6800 one more time before returning back lower I have a Long position open at the moment. counting pips

i have thought for a while on this,
i looked on h4 again after your post and i get what you're saying about the bearish flag taking a long time to break a low... but im not sure im really seeing it as all that significant, but it seems like i should be.
maybe you could answer this question to help me get a better understanding.

I'm wondering should I be looking at H4 for a setup,
eg: price is a resistance level at h4, perhaps some divergance thrown in there, and tdi looks like it might cross to the downside soon

and then go down to the m30 and take a TDI cross there if it looks good? [a good short setup on there also]

because the h4 was currently in a buy and did not look like it would cross downwards soon.
perhaps LK was waiting for the H4 TDI to look like it would cross soon before looking to short on m30?

That trendline is fine, you just stopped drawing them for some reason. After the initial break there was a clear lateral formation that you could have annotated. Try putting your TDI on your chart so you can see it.

I never go against the h4, whether its divergence, a candle pattern, even just a particular candle, I never go against it. I always look at the last closed candle on h4, if its a bullish engulfing or similar I won't take a short on m30. The only time I would go against it is if for instance it butted up against one of the weekly pivots and couldn't close above it, then I would look for a good signal on m30 along with divergence to go the other way.

You can trade H4 and check W1 D1 before entering.
I trade M30, checking H4 H1 before entering...
It's up to you to decide, Kain. As long as you don't trade into S/R. The problem traders are facing is trading into choppy zone (where H4 up, H1 down and on M30 crawling around/between 200ma DOL weekly SR)

this is a rare post [i cant remember any1 else say'n this 4 long time] - its why i rely on TLs and not MAs
