I think the reason why he choose this particle candle type1 is because bears could not break the zone7 second time (first time on chart #71), so it is kind of double bottom, plus long wick indicate weakness of bear and rejection of the price. This is how I would interpret it? But let's see what atheer1 gonna say

So the full answer is
a) what you say (a strong S/R at the botom of type1 candle) and
b) the breakout at the top of type1 candle.

atheer1 could you show us some example of similar setup (candle type1, breakout of that candle), but you would not trade from any reason with explanation of that reason please ?

Its hard to find wrong setups in euro in H1 chart..........No reason to think that a setup is not good.........but sometimes when BB is narrow and candles range small you may get it wrong.......other currencies may be............

If you want examples of good trades there are plenty of them........

Cheers atheer1 for that example. Can you post other examples of bad setups with different missing characteristics? It does not have to be EU, it may be different currencies. Because I think to learn avoiding bad setups is the same important as finding good setups. Like that example above with "missing run of successive bear candles" I found as very valuable lesson and this is something new, something what did not appear it this thread before. While we talking about bad setups...I entered after type1 candle get broken (blue line). My stop loss was where the red line is. Can you tell me if there were any signals saying that setup was not valid? As you can see if my stoploss were just few pips bigger, my TP would get hit. So was it just bad luck or were there signal saying I should not take this trade? If yes, can you tell what signals was it. Thank you in advance.
