{quote} Forex is a fickle, edgy, volatile little cow. I happen to agree. My opinion is my own, as is yours my friend. As is my trading strategy, as is my attitude. I note that both you and your friend MapleLeaf have yet to post something which might even be loosely be interpeted as constructive, but then I guess you have your reasons. You probably trolled a little deep with your last comment back there, suggesting its all vapourware and nobody should read anything ever, never ask a question, never make a statement nor offer...

... I agree with you here. It seems the goal of some is to make the majority believe that it's actually the opposite.
Hence the amount of crap around everything forex. If P.T. Barnum were alive today, he would be in Forex. No where else is true dilligence more important than in Forex.

Its going to snow...

We have a chap on our team who trades the fundamentals. Boy, does he know his stuff. And I say this slightly tongue in cheek because half the time I'm not even sure what he's saying. To his credit though, he ends up at the end of the month mostly with more (often not much!) than he started with. He has grown a modest account, got registered with the financial regulators and started trading for others a few years back. I must admit I watch him trade and pretty much 50% of the time am convinced its little more than an educated guess. Some of it is quite obvious, some less so.

Then the rest of us trade tech. With range bars and manage a better than 50% rate. I guess its the reason not every individual on the planet is a doctor, or a lawyer, or a high voltage sparky. Its the blend of it all that makes it interesting.

The fact is at any given time the price can only be doing one of two things. Going up, or going down. In FX it just happens to be happening pretty fast.

Good trading everyone.
In life you get 3 types of people, those who can count and those who can't.

Nope, Forex is not reliable. Nothing actually works in a casino based scheme. Stop losing your time with Get-Rich-Quick SCAMS and go work hard to make money in an actual business that doesn't create Fake Money from Thin Air. There are no shortcuts in this world. Go produce for your country and make something real to make money. There is no other way, and anyone telling you otherwise, is nothing more than a CON Artist who wants your money. Nothing else to add. ::::-----::::

It is of cos reliable.

What we need is to work out a plan with reasonable probability of gaining profit, and stick to it.

The question is not "Is Forex reliable?" but instead "Is my knowledge reliable?" and "Am I reliable?"
It takes time and dedication to answer Yes.

Exactly what Ryan-FX said. If you are knowledgable about the market and experience in trading, it is much more likely you will succeed rather than if you were a beginner. However, with the fluctuation of currencies, you will never know exactly what is going to happen.

Forex Trading may be reliable for some trader, while it couldn't be for some others. I think you need to check it yourself.

No, Forex is not reliable. Even international regulators warn traders that CFDs, Forex and binaries are speculative, with high risk of loss. Between the lack of knowledge, experience, unethical teachers, even less ethical brokers and outright scammers, people lose money and will continue to lose money.

I am sure that trade on the demo does not reflect the real behavior. It is better to trade on a micro account.
