Cool just noticed this one closed on friday.
also most of my NFP trades closed with the retrace on positive SLs. 1700pips sum on last week, not bad

clear change of trend on HTF and strong weekly candle closing/engulfer suggests a change of trend which could be gaining traction. GJ run ups >2000 points are abundant in the past. 180 is quarter pivot on GJ. Now I'm not saying GJ will run up 2000 points by end of March, but certainly we are looking good for a mid-term (1-2 months) bottom @ 155.50. Definately dragon is a buy on pullbacks mid-term bull story.

Geppy, might I ask what settings you use for MA? Mine shows that UCad closed 119 pips below the 200 MA on the daily. I've tried changing settings and still get nothing that looks like your MA.

Looks like you're using and exponential moving average. I use the simple moving average.

Right, I've tried that as well. Simple is the dark blue line.

It might just be FXCM's site vs MT4.

cad is interesting as it keeps going down, but its due for a bounce up. Its in another channel now, an upward one, near the bottom facing some major resistance near the 200ma and fib point. I missed the bounce up to 1.3487, a point recommended in my earlier analysis on this. Lots of analyst, including Geppy recommend the safest place is 136.50 for the short, but this is due to go up

That recommendation was for last week. I'm not recommending anything but to do nothing now... just as I mentioned in the weekly outlook. Until we go through the 200-day MA, the trend is technically still up.

hello all lets have another great week of realized profits. taking a few positions to start the week. long usd/cad 133.35 stop 132.90 tp 135.00
small short on usd/jpy 113.90 stop 114.30 tp 112.60

on cad im expecting a quick bounce up to 135 maybe within 2 days. then maybe a drop back down to retest bottom / 200 day MA

on usd/jpy pretty much same thing quick drop maybe in 1-2 days. i wanna load up on it at 112.60


going to watch the 112.89 level on usd/jpy also that might be a good place

Good morning/afternoon/evening all. Here's hoping it's an exorbitantly profitable week!
Geppy, i am yet to read your weekly preview (i will have some time soon) but thank you for the effort of getting it out for us all

For today, there is only the one possible trade that stands out (for my inexperienced eyes anyway)...

USD/CAD, a nice engulfing BEOB which comfortably closed below a PPZ.
I'm expecting a retrace to the 1.3375 - 1.340 area (give or take) before moving southward.
There's some bumps on the way down but maybe to the 1.32x, PA will give more clues as it unravels.

Just out of curiosity, is there a certain level in the CCI you try to correlate with the price action when catching your pullbacks? For instance, i use the RSI as my oscillator, and for the most part when I count my waves on the 4H I like to see my pullbacks run to say the 60 or 40 level and try to match those levels up with trendlines and fib levels to bounce from or potential locations for trendlines and fibs to bounce from....if that makes sense
