hi guys...

In your opinion or experience in trading, what are the advantages/disadvantages of having these type of candle bars below?

Below you will see the normal candle bars and other one is an APB or Heiken Ashi type of candle bars.

USDCAD looking a strong sell now on the hourly chart, but too close to support and too late in the day perhaps.

Hi Boni
Some prefer APB some not.I prefer regular candles because I am used to reading price action from it and it is widely used so there is advantage that lot of traders are seeing the same thing.
The shapes are important to me.APB because how it calculates does not reflect clearly candle shapes like spinning tops,hummers etc.

Used the M30 for the direction and M1 for the entry. Last trade for the day. Notice resistance area on the daily for AUDUSD so looking to short that tonight if there is a good setup.

Agree AU will hit a wall most likely at 74 which is 1.618 swing extension
very close now like 20+ more pips

AUDCAD bounced off the 78.6 fib and may be a good opportunity to get short in the Asian session.
