There are plenty of CSM right here on FF if you take the the time and make the effort to find them

And PM is probably the best way to ask, just saying

Hello hanover, i have one question.

Can we incorporate another tf PSA into the current chart?

If it so, what is the settings we need to change.

I wanted to build something like below:

It should work OK if you have a different value for UniqueID for each instance of PSA on the same chart. Try it and see.

If you enter TFs like M15, H1, D1 etc, then the TFs that the PSA calculations use are independent of the chart TF, i.e. stay as M15, H1, D1 even if you change the chart TF. However, if you enter TFs like -1, +0, +1, then these are relative to the chart TF. Read the instructions for more detailed information.

Hanover PSA has got a potential at least for filtering or basket trading. Maybe this potential is even better than all well known TMA-based filters like CSS or TMA Naning Bob, Alorente etc. (still what they did was great).

When I used PSA with TMA-based the PSA gave similar results in terms of pointing the direction.

BTW i am absolute ignorant in math or coding, however the method used in PSA (different from TMA-based) may be of great value.

PS I am curious how you use PSA and let this curiosity be un-satisfied, it is more fun

I'm not familiar with CSS or TMA. If I recall correctly, Nanningbob used some kind of grid trading, but that was years ago.

Where I believe PSA potentially shines above other strength meters is that it is multi-parametered: i.e. where other meters base their strength calc around a single timeframe or setting (e.g. a moving average), PSA can average the slopes of several regression lines, and across multiple TFs, giving a more balanced, representative view. Nonetheless, change some of PSA's settings and the values it displays can change markedly, simply because price may be rising in one time horizon, and falling in another. Obviously all strength indys reflect any vagaries that exist in price behavior.

I might look at this in some future release, but no promises. I'm currently busy with other projects, not sure when I'll get around to anything else.

Anyone still using this? Tried to add to chart but only the PSI by Hanover displays. Nothing else. Do I need to do anything other than put the indicator into the indicator folder and attach to chart?

I use it with no special procedure, just put in indicator folder should work. Maybe try reading first page and check instructions.

Ps. Hanover - after some time of usage i just thought that it is quite reasonable to use "regression style" power indicator when using trendlines or channels or any kind of mean reversion styles. BEST

Dear Hanover and the rest,

I am pleased to have this tool tested in MT4 however my pleasure did come to an end since my broker is using cTrader (a different platform than MT4). I am asking every coder in this thread if you can rewrite this indicator in C# which is used in cTrader. That will definitely help a huge slice of traders who are restricted to the platform like myself.

There is no benefit to me personally to rewrite the indicator, unless I was to start using cTrader myself.

If PSA is important to you, why not run it on MT4 using a demo account with a second br0ker, while you use cTrader to do your charting/trading with your preferred br0ker? That would work until such time as MT4 is discontinued across the board.

Another possible solution might be to look for platform-independent strength/weakness gauges, like this or this, which would then allow you to perform all of your charting/trading using ANY platform you choose.
