HI all... So now we have our shiny new EA... I always have the same question --- "i wonder what pairs it works best with".... That is what im hoping we can make here as a group or already exists....

Im wanting to create or find a script that i can run with a ea... I can trade however many pairs i want --lets say 20... There will be a info screen that will show the data of each pair.. This way you can forward test and see which pairs works best with your ea and which to maybe stay away from..

The cool part about this script is-- it can be used by everyone -- cause we all wonder which pairs work best on our strategy/ea.. This can work for both manually trading or auto trading...

Yes you can use myfx etc.. But they dont show a deep enough break down.. i want to know which pairs trade the most-- but also the % for that pair of DD vs bad trades vs good trades etc.. I feel like we can come up with some ratios that would help define and list the best pairs--- maybe even number them in the screen.. This way we could even make the ea dynamically move to pairs that are above or below a certain threshold-- keeping us in the area of best odds for trades..

Feel free to pm me if you dont want to post your private thought in here -- ill keep it private.. Or (hopefully most will do this) post in here ideas you might have.. Ratios we can put in here to help come up with the finding the best pairs..

Looking for a programmer to code this up too.. If no one jumps in-- ill head over to mq5 and get'er done... Ill share whatever i come up with here either way.. I think this can be a good thing for all of us..

Bruce...

Just to add a bit more.. Im not looking for a strength meter or anything like that.. I want to actually analyze the trades and come up with results based off of what is working and what isnt..

1. total trades
2. total wins
3. total losers
4. amount of DD before trade was successful
5. total trades +total pips / total DD=ratio to be used

this is just a example but i think we can figure out some ratio based equations that can shows us-- not only which pairs are best but why they are best.. Maybe show that pair A makes you more money but with wayyyyyyyy more risk.. vs pair B that makes a bit less but with almost zero risk.. From this we can just trade pair B with a higher lot size and make more with much less risk.. Forex is scary enough-- we need to have everything on our side possible..
