Update EA_v13.1

Continued with fix to the EA using wrong pivots. It happened again last nite. I noticed that it is not a constant thing but anyway I have recoded the section that handles that and tested it completely, it now works.


Also fixed the error(0) condition that some of you have been seeing. We should not see anymore error(0) conditions with this version.

Hey! MAKE SURE u download v13.1.
I just got home and still had the older version on the charts. It missed a GBPUSD trade that would of by now been BE with half profit closed.

Just a quick update on the OANDA LIVE account.
-21 trades have been taken this week.
-6 were loses.
-4 of the 6 loses went to full STOP LOSS
-1 of the 4 full stop loses was not legit.
That one was a trade that was taken with the wrong pivots and should not of been taken.
In addition due to my account being low, some of the trades with larger lotsizes could not be initiated, the EA just used the smallest allowable lotsize.
Once the EA uses the smallest lotsize it cannot close HALF and set BE, it just lets the trade hit TP or SL.

Right now the account has an open profit of 9% with one runner still open.
If the runner hits BE and it where Friday (close EA) the account would end up with a 4% increase.
At the end of this week I will update you with the profit status and show the trade activity.

Looks like we are heading to a profitable week. It's been a while... LOL ...

It was downhill for the live account last night. Dropped below initial balance. Was using the ASCTREND detector setting. So far I am down about 16%. I have a demo with no trend detection and on the hrly time frame, it did well. So I am changing to the none trend detection and the hrly time frame.

Welcome aboard Reamasesa.
Looks like you have more losers than winners. Seems that the opposite 3semadot condition is working for you. Good.
I also noticed that some of the trades do not have TP or SL. Hmmm.
Did u get any errors?

Could you please send me your logs? There are two files. One is in your MQL4 folder the other is in the general folder, where terminal.exe is located. In each case you will find a folder called logs. Just send the logs that have that last two dates. for example: 20160224.log and 20160225.log
Send the files to: ([email protected])

In addition could you place the indicator_v11 on the charts and see if the indicator arrows line up with the trade arrows?
LEt me know if you had any indicator arrows that did not line up or if there was no trade were there was an indicator arrow.

No hurry, I just want to see if all your trades were legit as per the trade rules of pg1.

Don't really care for the ASCTREND nor the MTF_Hieken_Ash indicators, they have too much lag. One moment they are telling u green or uptrend then a couple of candles later where it was green, it is now red. Then you see the trades that were taken should not of been taken.... too much lag or repaint as they say.

Well until mahfoozha reveals the"secret" as to how ASCTREND is used I am not touching it LOL

Buddy, ditto as I said to Reamasesa. Send me your log files, both pls.
Also slap the indicator_v11 on to the charts and see what arrows line up with the trade arrows.

hey Keysharp, this approach seems like a winning manual system: "I was using a system similar to do manual trading. With the yellow dot at the bottom, I went long until the red then waited for the green and took another long. For sells it worked the other way. I will have a recap this evening but as of now my live account is up 10.8%. I started doing manual in addition to the ea because the ea activity was so slow. The manual was started on Wednesday afternoon."

Is this how you normally trade?

Seems that a couple of you are having different results despite using the same input settings as I have them.

I am going to be setting up MT4 demo accounts on different brokers to see for myself what happens.
Perhaps the no Sunday brokers (Oanda has a Sunday bar) is affecting the indicators, or perhaps the stops are issues.. etc etc...
We'll find you if there is anything going on and create the right fix for it.

I know I have asked some of you before, but could you please send me the broker u are using.

Guys:
Just thought of this. It would alot FASTER if you could create the demo accounts for me.

If your broker allows you to do this then just and the username is different:
1. create the demo account
2. Get the server that I need to use (u can go into the config folder and there you will see the files that end in .srv send me those files)

Then just send me the following:
username
password
demo server name or the server file

That will really speed things up.

My dear new friend I cannot open the other attachments u provided in your earlier post. but this last post I was able to see the attachments
and I don't like what I see the EA doing. See all those arrows? you should only have trades under those arrows.

Your H1 charts show that there are a lot of trades that should not have been taken.

I need to see the logs man. Like I said there are two log files. For now get the one that is in the folder
\MQL4\Logs. Get latest date.

Folks I want to reinforce that we are there already. The EA has a couple of tweaks that I plan to add, nothing to do with the core approach, just more options like trading times etc.

Do not get all flustered or frustrated just cause u see the EA not working on your account. On the contrary be excited cause Dredding left us with one of the best entry approaches that I have seen. It is simple, elegant and the dang thing WORKS. Like he would say.. READ THE FRIGGIN RULES ON PG1. LOL.

Look there is a solution to all of this... it's real simple. but first the challenge is to ensure that the EA is working in all platforms/brokers.

So, if it does come down to it then we just simple use a trade copier. you slap the EA and the master trade copier on to a broker where we see it work like Oanda in my case. Then slap the slave trade copier onto the broker of your choice and voala... OR simple just get an Oanda account LOL..

Anyhow, this will be resolved....
