Hey People, Hey geppy,

I was even in a mood to go long until now, but looking at the scenario I have shorted this pair, Lets see if what happens .

Caddy right now has Chop syndrome.
Symptoms include making traders switch there shorts to longs, then back again from longs to shorts. I think i contracted it for a bit but i took some herbs to clear it up.

I got stopped out of an addon long from 3804. I'm still in my free long from 3770. We'll see if it lasts. I still feel bullish about this pair but i'm hesitant to take anymore longs below 3850. That last rejection was oil/news motivated but it was still pretty strong.

tomorrow i think theres going to be some tog-a-war on usd/cad. hoping it stays capped under 137779 and 137894/ 93 area's. i was looking to add a position at 13822 but it stopped at 13818 after the oil inventory data came out.

We're likely to see some of that for perhaps days yet. We're at an inflection point in this area and the market needs to make a decision: violate the larger trend or continue it.

I said from the get-go that I was taking a flier with my longs based on shorter time frames. We'll see how this plays out but I'm not risking too much.

true this pair has indecision written all over it right now. i think todays downside is in 13719/15. great blog and thread geppy i really enjoy reading your thoughts on swing trading. lets get all the pips the market will give us be back later tonight

Just opened a long for USD/CAD at 1.3723. Still holding short for USD/JPY, still a little over a 100 pips in profit, would like to see it run and break the channel on the 30m chart.

Dont get confused by the daily noise of CAD. I am short Cad targeting 1.3500- 1.3480 area.
Just check the monthly chart and it will give you a clearer picture. I am also trading Oil and I know it is not a subject of this thread but Cad is oil commodity connected.

Just wanted to say hello folks and thank you to Geppy for creating this thread, I just created a profile here 2 mins ago so that I could join/subscribe as I have been reading from a few pages back and the first few pages and like the way you guys are thinking! (re: the discussions on patience - really need to improve this aspect and just by reading Geppy's words I have already gained something!!!!!) I have only been trading for +- a year so wont be commenting much mainly just wanted to say hello and not be a lurker.. because I can already see that I want to keep in touch with this thread.. thanks so much Geppy!! ps you photo looks a bit scary but Ill get over it

Cad will be testing the support of 1.3650 area and I think it will break this time.
Cad is going towards major trend reversal and it will be a bumpy road ahead but for the remaining of this month it will be mostly down.
I have been pyramiding a very large position for a while now but this might not be suitable for small accounts.

I am not confused. Monthly is an abstract idea for my type of trading. I don't hold positions through 200+ pip swings that last weeks. Also, i'm well aware of what economies import and export, kinda why i mentioned it .

I mentioned earlier that i'm bullish above 3660 and bearish below. Take a look at this chart.

Daily is not noisy at all actually. There's a channel that has developed between 3850 and 3660. You can see 2 times prior there have been sharp moves to the downside that were pushed back. Taking shorts before seeing 3660 get broken is ILL ADVISED unless your taking it from high up enough to get a risk-less trade on.

I may take another long with a small stop for negligible risk if price gets within 10 pips of 3660 and take off a portion to make it free. Then again i may not. I don't really wanna put on longs below 3850. Nothing i've done so far is outside of my trading plan.

That's my 2 cents.

UC I see possible range on lower TF 4H or 1H. Support at 1.365 was tested 3 times so let's see if survives

thanks mate but wasn't they on downtrend all day + bad US news.. shouldn't they go down still?
