Thanks for the encouragement Mr B, closed now for 50% loss of my original hedge so need to sort this later, I closed because of US open about to start and there could be shenanigans a foot as they say. so ouch for this morning need a break and a coffee .

That was the right move for sure closing off, I would be bald now if I'd held on ,, of course nothing wrong with a bald head if anyone has one ahem .

Pip...as long as you followed your plan...all is good....if you knew where and why you were entering, but more importantly where and why you were getting out and followed that without second guessing during the trade.....well then all is good

I use HA on my fxcm demo. I like them. Good paired with stochastics and just trade the change in momentum. Works quite well on low time frame too.

Thanks Swing and you are absolutely right, mind you keeping my head clear was not easy, things got a tad scary for a while and deciding to close in a loss, for now, I believe, was the right way to go. and it proved to be the case. Good to have another experienced trader on board .

I trade with both Oanda and FXCM and they both have their own platform that includes Heiken Ashi. Then separately they have another platform, MT4 which has nothing to do with their primary platform.

Pip....I know for me if I don't make those decisions ahead of time...I will make a wrong one in the heat of the moment. Even when it turns out that it would have kept going against me, if I get out before it reached my pre trade decided on stop...then for me I have simply reinforced bad behavior......glad it is good with you

(Looking back break of close could have been managed with about ten pip stop ?)

Thanks Tom, I totally forgot about Oanda and I am now signed up. I am on a demo account but I only need to see the HA chart. I am helping a guy out.

In my endeavour to find a broker who charts heinken ashi . I had a phone call off one who said I could earn a million dollars in 90 days. WOW , I did feel a bit sad I told him to F off, Such use of an expletive isn't in my nature, lol, yeah right.

so why do you hate MT4 so much.....I have some very cool Heiken Ashi tools for it
