I'm sure you all have noticed, but USD/JPY is starting to give up some ground (finally)... nice!

Current Analysis Still short GBP/JPY not so much for the UK news potentially breaking from the EU fundamentals today. (although that helped get us back below 159.62) However pending Risk aversion this week looking for the next leg down at 157.02. (Given Fed rate inevitability and the S&P 500 over leverage) Only looking for major rebound if we get about 163.94. Other than that trade range is wide for swing traders between [157.02-163.94]

100% agree with you that I'm not short GBP/JPY simply for the Brexit drama. I really thought the pair would be relatively quiet this month and I'd be able to start setting up a longer-term position.

I mentioned it needing a new "catalyst" in my weekly outlook. The catalyst that I'm expecting is actually a plunge in US equities. I'm not buying into this rally at all and think it's only a matter of time before we're falling again. If that were to happen it'd be risk off, so we'd see USD/JPY and GBP/JPY (and other yen pairs) get hit hard.

Nice to see another Californian here (even though I'm not native). I'll be in Pasadena for the day tomorrow.
