Ratios & Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

Was scanning through the pairs and this one jumped out as being primed for entry so I got in. It made a new structure low and pulled back right into the .618 and couldn't close above it so went short there.

Here is an update: Price started to move is favor after some pain and now it's trying to correct again. Got to be patient here and let price do it's thing. Bulls are showing buying interest but are still a bit weak. We need that decision to hold.

Price is really struggling to climb. I reduced some risk and am looking to get to the BE ASAP

Locked in 5 to protect my trade lots of weakness up 20 at the moment I will update another chart pick soon.

Closed out at structure - The methodology makes perfect sense and I really think I'm getting it. Now it's the psychology part of letting the trade fully play out or locking in partial profits and give it room to continue to run that I will have the hardest time with. +13pips

Second one worked out but not before it took me out LOL for plus 10 so I'm done for the day plus 15 points in total less then I should have had but Green is Green.

Been lurking this thread for a while as I've been looking for ways to ingrain "naked charts reading" in my thought process for a long time, without the usual candlestick bs.
I thought I would shime in now and manifest my appreciation for the way you Mr.Pip are coming forward to teach a step by step approach, starting from the basics towards the more elaborate stuff, like a truly gifted teacher does, nothng ever seen before in the retail trading arena. Hats up!

I missed the first retracement swing of the .618 area of this one and it just made a NSL, so this one might be good to watch for entry in the downward direction after it makes it's new low and retraces again.

Watch how the Market reacts if the Buy Stops start to get hit.

please comment my assesment for entering this trade (it worked out, but I would be gratefull if there is a fundamental issue with my analysis).

The main swing is up. It formed a NSH. Within the correction (retracement), price came down and formed a NSL (little broke of structure, since price closed below HL of the main swing (the close of HL, not in box because otherwise the box would hide the whole trade; area highlighed with the box).
However, since the momentum of the main swing was very strong (&big bullish candles) and the retracement still bullish (50% of this main swing and 23.6% of the overral structure), I decided to look for a buy close to the box and for an exit (area of confluence determined via the projection lines and due to the fact that I expected a light retest of the last NSH). Light because the structure was broken to the downside. Moreover a buy, because we have also support structure on the left.

@gastonforex: you can look for the most dominant (big) swings (as u did with your labeling) or you can go more into details and look for every HL, NSH, LH, NSL. The disadvantage would be that its is a lot of work and you run the risk to get confused. Both ways will (should) conduct you to the same conclusions/expectations. To the question on the right (NSH?): no, because you have a NSH above which is higher.
In the video of Mr. Pip it is explained that you do not need to drive you crazy with the labelling (the most important are enough). You can use more details when you want to identify areas of confluences (e.g. target for TP)
