hey, men....did ya'll hear about the banks stocks are tanked.....I posted that in the other thread.....their not tanking.....they already tanked last two weeks....ya gotta be aware of that scenario....I don't know what it means really

I really like the approach to trading on this thread. Keep it simple and try to catch a good move. A good idea especially in this kind of market with wild moves every day. Only need to catch a couple of good moves to do well.

Short UCAD 1.3950, ECAD 1.5540, stops about 50 pips or so.

Yeah not looking good, stocks getting killed today, looks like stops will get hit.

Hey, all! I shorted GBP/JPY finally. I feel kind of stupid not looking to get short to start the week, but hindsight is 20-20, right?

The EUR/USD longs are looking really solid though; I'm holding.

I'm out of GBP/USD with a slight loss. It's just not performing the way I thought it would.

Still liking USD/CAD shorts and still holding.

Not a stellar start to the week for me, but hopefully it'll get better.

traded without a stop on GBP/JPY last night and I'm regretting it today. I'm still holding my long from 170.10...

.. imho ... to risky to short at this level . Maybe short at 167.00 - 167.50 with 50 pips stop lost ..

Oh dear, i just took a long trade on GBP/JPY aiming at 167.60 maybe just as retracement on the downside?

I agree, I shorted at 167 and a 167.40 stop.

I about crapped myself lol. Maybe I'll make some back on a retracement then try to get short if it looks ok. I'm still holding a short usd/cad 1.389

I still like the USD/CAD trade with a target of 1.3550 -- hasn't been invalidated yet in my opinion.

Be careful with the GBP/JPY. It could get away from you. What would you do if it dropped another 200 pips?

Hey Evilzim, thanks for the kind words. I really like how this thread is developing too. Seems to be a good pace with people being thoughtful about their posts. I dig that.

In regards to timeframes <1-hour... I do look at them but rarely take trades based on them. They can be good for drilling down and seeing what's going on, but like you mentioned it can also just become too much. Not only that, you tend to start getting emotionally sucked in to every pip. And that's not really the point of swing trading.

In fact, last night we were all kind of watching the lower timeframes and you could argue it resulted us missing the forest over the trees. We should have been looking to the 1-hour timeframe and attempting to find an entry for low-risk shorts. Had we done that we'd all be grinning ear-to-ear today.

Oh well, always learning!

Everyone is here to learn, so i must say everyone here has been helpful with their inputs, glad there is a community around the world that actually wants to discuss and improve their skills.

Okay well that clears it up looking at those shorter time frames drives me crazy definitely an emotional roller-coaster haha

regarding USD/CAD it seems like some H&S is forming...

Don't bind to a trade .and every time put a reasonable stoploss and trade.
