Hmmm Im really suss on Govt released data these days and NZ is no different however like I've been harping on the NZ economy has been bubbling along.

His concern was inflation and unemployment with a possible rate cut.
Well we can take unemployment out of the mix now.

Inflation was exaggerated by oil and seasonal vegetables and quite frankly anyone who decides their country's interest rate policy on those 2 commodities shouldn't be in the job.

So the can has been kicked down the road for a rate cut.

Lets see what the real money guys do.
They bailed out of their longs before this data and I now suspect a 2.5% yield isn't to be ignored.
I think long NZD and cross plays will be back in vogue again.

The change was as of the close of business on Tuesday. wheeler had spoken at 18:45, so after hours. 8.5k may be short misleading. high probability of long positions to be opened

I think it will happen next week... NZDUSD is currently slow moving, let see after the US news later, maybe there is a big move. Anything can happen during Friday.
