I suggest tracking it in demo, if you'd like - it's the asian session, so bigger moves will be when the NY session opens.

I am expecting a leg down when NFP comes close to 240k mark.

I know that FX mentality.

State 1 Price won't go in my way, until I close my positions
State 2 If you do not close, you'll get a large drawdown and close it for loss then it rides in your way

But as matter of historical fact, there are so much choppy action in price, looking at charts constantly will raise stress levels so best to set tp and go do something else. I've gained, maybe 10% of what I could gain easily with a little bit of patience.

If I could beat this mentality, it is my dream goal!

Don't change direction every 1 hour

Stay with Daily chart

That's why I closed my short because I'm not comfortable shorting AUD, always looking to go long.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Just moved my stop down to secure 25 pips of profit and watching to see if we can drift a bit lower. It looks like the bulls may want to take a stab at 73, though. At least I'll recover my loss from a short I had at 7070 and break even for the week.

I totally agree with this. You can get burned out and stressed real quick if you just sit all day looking at charts. It's unhealthy really.

Yes it happens to me often as I am intraday/scalper trader. It get so intensive at times, many times I wish I would just turn my eyes away from chart and set the tp / sl and forget about it. Actually the few times I managed to do this, they were my biggest winning trades. If I learn how to beat this mentality only!

I support you doing what makes you comfortable but would like to point out that looking at the daily chart I see a range from 6830 to 7400. With price at 7200, I ask the rhetorical question, which way does price have more room to go? Of course price is not bound by that range either.

I agree with Ken, money can be made in either direction if you stick to your guns (and of course use very careful money management).
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

On Friday, and NFP due, just play both sides with a small TP and do not look for any major gains. There could be a clear trend after the US data if it brings anything that's not priced in. e.g. a surprisingly good NFP number will set modest USD recovery, but a negative number is already priced in I think.

I think we are going higher after NFP so I will be looking to buying the dips.
