Have to agree 100% this is martingale. Martingale is about as good in the long run as scalping for 5 pips with a 1000 pip stop .... a fools errand. Seriously though you have to ask yourself if this is soooo great why would someone selling it?

If i gould do this more then 200 times, yes i would. If i have to risk a couple of 1000 to gain +10000 in the future, yes i would. If i can get statistics on my site, yes i would.
There is only one thing i do not want. That is to see other traders, who have other opinions and maybe mutch more intelligence, to see as my enemies. I think we all like to earn some money in this market, some for a living, some for some extra confort. I like to read there experiences and there idees.
And finaly, yes i am lazy, if some one just gives me good entries, that would be great. Its the kind of fool i am.

There is a huge different between martingale and averaging up/down. Though, I agree that averaging is a risky thing to do. Some say the whole forex thing is risky.

You are welcome. Honestly, I am not a too huge fan of EAs and eventually the day will come where PowerFlow will stop trading because of the DD limiter. Until then I enjoy the extra coin.

If you want to know what a martingale looks like, see the attached screenshot. They all look something like this; I could attach several more. At any point up until the black arrow, anybody could justifiably say "it has performed with a good result". It's the same with every (uncapped) martingale, due to martingale's in-built recovery mechanism.

As was argued before, you can withdraw some money. But by doing so, you reduce the number of doubles that the account can handle, and hence increase the risk of losing the remaining funds; and (assuming the position size is proportional to the account size) you also cripple the future rate of return. And you never know when the crash is going to occur: no matter how clever the trading algo is, the 'black swan' might come along 5 days after you start, or 5 years. It's impossible to predict what the market is going to throw at you, and when. You might get lucky, or you might not get time to withdraw anything.

Of course you can start the account with an inconsequential amount (e.g. $100), but then you'll likely gain only a few cents each day.

I don't deny that the developer has put some thought into risk management (see post #25), but it doesn't change the above realities.

Check out the links in posts #11 and #31. Some of these myfxbooks read "This system was deleted by its creator" or "This system is private". Why would a vendor display his EA's performance publicly, and then later hide it? Could it be that these other tests encountered the black swan much more quickly? (and he couldn't delete the links in his FF posts because 24 hours had elapsed)

I'm 54 myself, and in poor health. I can fully relate to your comment about time being precious. If you want to buy the EA, please don't let me dissuade you. But please also go into the purchase with a good understanding of the possible risks involved.

There is an enormous difference between averaging + partial hedging and martingale trading.

Using an EA what just doubles the lot size, again and again, is a guarantee for disaster. I know this first hand because I used such EA back in the Meta Trader 3 days. Smart averaging strategies what considers the actual market conditions can run for years without running into troubles. Worst case scenario is that trading will be stopped when the DD reaches 30%. If this happens tomorrow on my account, I would be still up. But yeah, it could happen that you start today and next week you sit with a DD of 10,20,30%.
