Hi All,
I'm a newbie but love ichimoku. I'm reading up and learning all I can about how various people use it to see where I can learn from them. my question is what signals do you use to know when conditions are met for entry? do you keep charts open all day and monitor? I'm at work during the day and don't have time to keep eye on it all day. 2nd question is break out of KS/TS cross start, or combo of both? I would love to hear thoughts from all the Ichi fans and traders out there, especially the seasoned veterans that trade consistently profitable. thanks!

You should start reading from page 1 and keep reading and practice what you learn. Manesh Patel has a web site and also published a book on Ichimoku.

Screen time, testing, demo account...

You will have to study.

You can use daily charts or weekly charts for entries........... which is what the banks do.

You don't need anything extra if you follow ichimoku principles. The charts clearly show the trend.

I will encourage you to learn to read charts without anything extra. That way you train yourself as the Ichimoku itself shows you the past, present, and the future at one glance. Good luck and if you need more help you can message me or start reading from page 1 as it will teach you a lot. I used to spend hours at a time to master ichimoku and bought Manesh Patel's ichimoku book and i am currently reading it again as i wish to maste ichi more.

Actually, if you are serious about using Ichimoku, you need not be using that indicator. why are you attempting to confuse a good thing?

Spend time to learn to use the tool as it is. you need nothing else to clutter your decision making.

I've always found Ichimoku Clouds to be eerily accurate. Yet I can't understand why the number '26' is so important. What occurs on this date? Why does it have so much significance?

Hi all.

I was wondering whether I can get some help/guidance regarding the Ichi360v6 indicator. I would like to create a sound alert within the code to alert me via.sound once the TP or SL has been hit, although I am a non-coder, I am painfully finding it increasingly difficult, and dependent on forums to gain any knowledge regarding this and have no luck.

I have also realised I have a copy of the ichi360v6 indy, which it does not allow me to open the file to modify or show the original source code. If anyone has the code doc. for this, I would be very much appreciated.

Any help provided would be amazing, and I appreciate any feedback, if not possible, please help to direct me to the correct positioning.

Thanking you all in advance

Hi i'm very interested in Ichimoku as this thread is doing.

Im new to this thread so I have some question to need help

Which pages should I go to to have all information about this?

If you can, can you jus do a quick summary how to use this?
As I see we enter a trade when:

Lag line break Kumo cloud => price break Kumo cloud => See leading loud => see higher timeframe

As I can see there are some false signal, especially when Higher time frame is having some "Hot" point ( Lag line touch Kumo, etc...)

Also, I have Idea to avoid we enter trade soon, this is about Kumo cloud, when the first signal come and you gonna trade or buy after signal candel. But look at leading Kumo, If the Kumo cloud is THICKER than the signal candel ( You can measure the pips). Then wait until price is pull back and enter trade when price close SPAN.

There is my understanding for right now

Can anyone help me to point out my mistake

Thank you so much

Hello Sohocool,

Thank you for all the support you provide. I find your Chinkou Histogram indicator interesting and wanted to test it out. I am with FXPro broker and they informed me to copy and paste your indicator onto a convert indicator site.

I tried to copy your indicator but it will not allow me to do it. Please help me out?

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Ichimoku, is it a good place to post one's owns analyses here ? If it is, here is my 1st one with Ichimoku (and 1st one in trading actually lol)

So, here i entered in a "long" position, and i hope i'll reach 1,925 which is a limit i drew according to formers "highs", but i could have put it higher to the 1st plain grey line which is a prolongation of a former SSB (daily) flat (you can't see it on the picture...), what is your opinion about this ?

Well, it seems you made the right decision, well done!.

I traded with the Ichimoku indicator quite a lot, but it made me get into the trade way too late. Many times, in a situation like this, price would start to go down. But when I use an addional indi like Stochastics, (see my attachment), it shows a good set up.
